Catherine and Jake from Love Is Blind UK Expecting!

UK stars Catherine Richards and Jake Singleton-Hill have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The couple took to Instagram over the weekend to share the happy news with their followers.

Catherine - a Dental nurse from Jersey - appeared on the debut season of Love Is Blind: UK, which premiered on Netflix in 2024.

She never ended up getting married to partner Freddie Powell who she met on the show but is now happy with Jake who was another member of the famous pods.

As the TV star shared the pregnancy news on Instagram she wrote: 'Our greatest adventure begins.'

She was seen hugging Jake as she held their baby scan before sharing a sweet hug with him in a clip. 

Jake wasn't seen much on the series as Catherine has previously explained: 'Jake, he was in the pods, but he wasn't chosen.

'He got engaged, but he wasn't chosen to go on the retreat.

'So not everyone is picked. Netflix only choose five couples, I was lucky enough, but sadly, he wasn't.

'But his journey was very rough in there, like he had a rollercoaster of emotions, like the way he was treated.

'So I reached out to him. I hadn't seen him. I only saw Freddie and the couples on the retreat, so I saw him on socials, and I was like, 'I wonder if he's the one from the show'. So I messaged him.

'We were on FaceTime for about five hours that evening and then we spoke every day for five weeks.'

Catherine and Freddie built a connection so deeply in the pods during the show's first season that they got engaged without ever meeting.

But, after just two weeks after their almost-wedding, Cat started dating Jake.

Cat went public with Jake in 2024, sharing romantic  videos of their secret year-long relationship, revealing they had since moved in together and share a dog.

Freddie revealed his true feelings after he discovered Cat moved on by dating another member of the  cast just days following their wedding. 

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Freddie said: 'I found out about it quite early on, to be honest, so not long after we broke up, maybe a couple weeks after, I found out she had been on dates with him.

'If she's happy, you know, I've not really got anything to say, to be honest. I think as long as she's happy and he's happy, then I hope it works for them.'

Freddie admitted at the time that dating someone else from the Netflix show certainly wouldn't be his style.

He added: 'I wouldn't choose to, personally. I pursued Cat, and that was my journey. I think you can meet anyone anywhere. You can go to Morrisons and meet someone. You don't have to meet someone from the pods.' 

The couple's short-lived romance saw them form a connection without ever meeting face to face, instead getting to know each other through a wall.

Cat opened up about being adopted as a baby, which she admitted impacted her dating life and relationships over the years. 

Meanwhile, viewers of the series admired Freddie for the close relationship he shares with his family including brother, Jack, who was born with Downs Syndrome. 

After Freddie proposed, she broke down in tears as they started to plan their lives together, before heading to Corfu on a couples' retreat.

Despite initially starting well, with Cat boasting they'd had sex twice on the first night, things turned sour when Freddie admitted he had cheated before in previous relationships. 

Cat later declared 'once a cheat, always a cheat', and their efforts to make things work once they got home only made things more difficult.

Freddie said: 'Obviously, I'm not proud of it, but I'd rather go into a relationship being transparent about things. I wish more than anything that conversation would have been off camera. It's just the way it is. I'd rather have had her ask me that question in private.
