The 58-year-old, who cofounded the iconic pop group with her sister Wendy Wilson and fellow music Chynna Phillips back in 1989, unveiled her transformation on Wednesday.
She explained that she 'waited seven years' to dye her hair a different color and that she finally took the leap.
In videos and photos posted to Instagram, Wilson, , showed off her new highlighted brunette tresses as well as lengthy hair extensions.
'I waited seven years to change my hair color!!! I love my red, but sometimes you just need a little bit of honey,' she captioned the post.

Wilson's surprise hair makeover comes less than a year after she was hospitalized amid her recent weight loss journey.
Wilson has been open about her weight challenges, having famously undergone gastric bypass in 1999.

'It was intense, there was an ulcer in there, it doesn't surprise me with all the stress I've had this year,' Wilson said in an Instagram video last year.
The stress may have been due to the death of her father Brian Wilson, of the Beach Boys, who died in June 2025 following a battle with dementia.

In recent years, Wilson has seemingly turned away from surgical means to lose weight and has, instead, taken a more simple approach.
In 2024, the star shared that she had lost 40lbs by excluding certain foods from her diet.
'This is 40lbs down. I feel really different. I need to start exercising more to make the scale start to move again, but I'm so proud and pumped,' Wilson said on social media at the time.
'Knowing that I did this PURELY through diet - no gluten or sugar, no butter and keeping fats down too.
'Lately I have indulged in cheese and nuts which have more fat. If I chose not to eat corn tortillas, nuts and cheese - there's no way I could keep this up.'
Wilson said at the time that she had 'totally adjusted my eating habits to satisfy my cravings but in a realistic way,' which she called 'a miracle.'
