The singers caught up in the Big Apple as Sam, 31, took to and shared a video of them dancing in Peter Dillons bar in the city.

The pair chatted at their table in the clip before they got up and danced at the famous Newcastle-supporting pub.

Sam wrote on the video: 'Took Lewis to New York's famous Newcastle bar to guarantee more people recognised me.'

He also captioned it 'can't rein us in' and played his song Rein Me In with Olivia Dean over the clip.

Lewis, 29, only drinks on occasion, previously saying he cut back on with the goal of leading a healthier lifestyle and because it makes him anxious.

'I always feel anxious after drinking, but I'd really hammered it after a long time of not boozing, and my mum had to come down to calm me down – lie in bed with me,' he said on his Netflix documentary How I'm Living Now.

It comes after Lewis recently responded to reports he spent weekend with in typically humorous fashion on Monday evening.

The Scottish singer, 29, was mistakenly identified as Kim's partner by an X account called Distinct Post, who had confused him for the F1 driver.

Mocking the mix-up, Capaldi reshared the post and wrote: 'Wow guys not cool such an invasion of our privacy'.

Failing to see the sarcasm in Capaldi's joke, some X users hit back and told him he shouldn't expect privacy at such a public event.

Lewis hilariously branded one 'silly billy' and asked another if it was his 'first day on this planet', if he thought he was dating American reality personality Kim, 45.

The account who originally shared the post about Capaldi and Kim then clarified they had meant Lewis Hamilton all along.

Lewis has previously revealed Bieber 'ghosted' him after they spent a wild night out together at a star-studded bash.

He told Capital Breakfast's Chris Stark that despite the pair exchanging numbers on the night, Bieber, 32, failed to respond to his message the morning after.

He said: 'It was amazing, there was famous people, Charli XCX was there, Justin Bieber was there.

'Justin Bieber comes over and said 'hey man, what's going on?' And I said, 'you don't remember my name?' And he said, 'of course I do, you're Lewis Capaldi'.

'Me and Bieber had this super night together, like really lovely evening together. We didn't spend the night together, but we hung out and I'm like 'me and the Biebs are gonna be best pals, this is huge'.

'And he's like 'man make sure I get your number tomorrow'. And I was like 'me and the Biebs, this is huge'.

'I text him maybe the most sucking up his a*** text. I said, 'Just wanted to jump on bro, last night was so special, great guy, so nice to hang out with you, such a dude', blah blah all this stuff.

'He likes it and doesn't reply. So if you're out there Bieber, wherever you are, text me back please. Bieber aired me.'
