The child star, albeit only 12 at the time, had an 'amazing experience' voicing Princess Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King back in 2023.
Seated in a recording studio with her mother – who also played her onscreen mom Queen Nala – Blue Ivy told Good Morning America that she was 'really happy for girls that look like me all around the world… to watch this movie and hear and see themselves in it.'

And Blue Ivy, now 14, has clearly held onto that feeling, with the famous said to be plotting her own film career, in particular a slate of 'coming of age movies for girls her age.'
'Blue is interested in following in 's footsteps and wants to produce her own movies,' one insider told the Daily Mail. 'She loves movies like Eve's Bayou and The Cheetah Girls and wants to create coming of age movies for girls her age.
'She and Sasha speak and she has promised to help Blue develop her ideas if she wants.'

Her plans have proved troubling for her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z (pictured) who are keen for their eldest to prioritize her education
So keen is she to kickstart her foray into film she is currently 'developing a movie but is under no pressure to complete or deliver it anytime soon.'
Afterall, she is still in school, with her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who also have nine-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, keen for their eldest to prioritize her education while being fully aware that they need to allow her to tentatively step into the limelight.

'They are big on traditional schoolwork as well as her creative work and they include her in some meetings so she can get a good eye on how the business works,' our insider said. 'They realize that she is going to be a star and are backing her all the way - but they want to ensure that she has her own experiences and point of view before becoming a creative.
'They're working hard to raise her to be an educated and well-rounded person and then branch out when she's finished high school or college.'
Let's be honest, a life of homework, college and working a typical 9-5 was never written in Blue Ivy's stars.
Dubbed 'the most famous baby in the world' by TIME, just ten days after her birth in January 2012, fame was already nipping at her heels.

Less than two weeks out of the womb and her newborn gurgles were featured on her dad's track Glory. The following year she earned herself a credit on Beyoncé's single Blue from her self-titled album, paving the way for an impressive résumé, all before she had started secondary education.
Aged seven, she sang on Homecoming: The Live Album – a collection of recordings from Beyoncé's record-breaking Coachella 2018 set – performing her own rendition of hymn Lift Every Voice and Sing. Then, in 2019 she became the youngest female artist to chart on the Hot 100 after featuring on her mom's single Brown Skin Girl – a title she later lost to her sister Rumi after she joined Beyoncé on Protector in 2024.
'Blue is interested in following in Sasha Obama's footsteps and wants to produce her own movies,' one insider told the Daily Mail

The credit also earned Blue Ivy a Grammy and the Guinness World Record for youngest individually credited person to receive one of the famous gold-plated gongs.
She starred in her mother's musical film Black is King as well as a handful of her music videos. In 2020, she won praise for her narration of children's book Hair Love which later landed her the role in Mufasa, something director Barry Jenkins said she 'crushed.'
'[Her parents] realize that she is going to be a star and are backing her all the way - but they want to ensure that she has her own experiences and point of view before becoming a creative,' said our insider (pictured on her mom's Cowboy Carter Tour)
Blue is reportedly receiving help from Andrea Nelson Meigs (pictured in 2024), a long-time collaborator of Beyoncé – and a woman who knows a thing or two about work ethic and drive
As the frequency of her public appearances has grown, so too have the comparisons to aspiring rap artist North West, 13, whose parents are Kanye West and Kim Kardashian (North West pictured with her father in April)
It was at CAA that she met Beyonce. So trusted a bond they formed that she took the singer with her when she moved to ICM Partners in 2006, and later to United Talent Agency in 2020.
Meigs can take credit for brokering Beyonce's big-screen achievements including Dreamgirls and Cadillac Records among others.
Now her attention is seemingly turning to Beyoncé's mini-me daughter because 'Beyoncé is very selective with who Blue is allowed to associate with,' according to our first insider. 'She runs a tight ship.'
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who married in 2008, have worked hard to shield their children from the spotlight, with Beyonce previously telling GQ: 'One thing I've worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn't turned into a brand.'
But shielding them is no easy feat, with her father hitting headlines when he was dragged into the Diddy fallout. He denied any wrongdoing. It was around this time that Blue's dance moves were picked apart after she joined Beyoncé on her Renaissance Tour in 2023.
And as the frequency of her public appearances has grown, so too have the comparisons to aspiring rap artist North West, 13, whose parents are Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
'A rivalry has already been created in the public's mind, and it's only likely to grow as they get older and become more active whether they like it or not,' said our second insider.
'Fairly or unfairly, people see Blue's path as being guided by a more traditional Hollywood strategy, while North's trajectory is viewed as more driven by headlines, viral moments, and the nonstop spotlight that has surrounded her family for years. The comparisons are unavoidable, but the families appear to have very different visions for how their daughters will navigate fame.'
