Beyoncé Fans Expect Rock Album Tribute at Met Gala

fans have been sent into a frenzy and left convinced the singer will announce her new rock album in a tribute to Prince at next week's , which she is co-charing. 

The songstress, 44, has long been rumoured to be releasing a rock-inspired album as Act III of her trilogy, following Renaissance (dance) and Cowboy Carter (country). 

Taking to her Instagram on Monday with teasing snaps she modelled up a storm in a dramatic purple gown, which many believed was a nod to Prince's Purple Rain.

There was also a cryptic close ups of her heels as well as eight pieces of sushi in a bowl, leading to nothing but theories in the comments.
