David Beckham stayed loyal to his humble roots as he picked up a low-key lunch from a fish shack in Essex on Tuesday.

The footballer, 50, who hails from Leytonstone in East London, visited Barney's Seafood at The Sultan in Waltham Abbey.
Smiling for a photo with the staff, he wrapped his arms around their shoulders and posed in front on the shack, which specialises in jellied eels and shellfish.
David dressed casually for the outing and wore a white T-shirt and jeans with a knitted beanie hat.
The sportsman is known for his love of jellied eels and often returns to his old stomping ground to visit Tony's Pie & Mash shop in the area.

Meanwhile, his son Cruz extended an olive branch to his estranged brother Brooklyn for the first time since the family's huge falling out.
David Beckham stayed loyal to his humble roots as he picked up a low-key lunch from a fish shack in Essex on Tuesday
The youngest Beckham boy, 20, shared a gallery of images of his eldest sibling, 26, for the first time since a bitter feud engulfed the family.
Notably, Cruz shared the Billy Joel song The River Of Dreams as a soundtrack to his post, which includes poignant lyrics about 'something sacred I lost':
The song goes... 'I've been searching for something, taken out of my soul, Something I'd never lose, Something somebody stole. I hope it doesn't take the rest of my life, Until I find what it is that I've been looking for...'

The post comes after Daily Mail reported Brooklyn still has the 'brotherhood' tattoo.
He, Romeo, 23, and Cruz famously got matching tattoos in 2023, and despite cutting ties with his family, the chef's inking was still visible during an outing on Tuesday.
Brooklyn also still sports the ballerina inking on his leg that he had done to honour his sister Harper, 14, but he has had his 'dad' tattoo covered up.
In a six-page scathing statement, released on Instagram on January 19, Brooklyn said he has no plans to reconcile with his family.
He accused his mother Victoria, 51, of ruining his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, 31, and his father David, 50, for caring about public perception and endorsements above all else.

Among the posts was a picture of Cruz with his mother Victoria, a clear sign of solidarity after she was blamed for ruining Brooklyn's wedding to Nicola Peltz
Cruz also shared this picture of himself and his siblings in beekeeping attire - a pastime they would take part in with father David (L-R Romeo, Cruz, Harper, Brooklyn)
And he also shared this picture of the family enjoying one of their favourite dishes together, pie and mash - in David's much-loved pie and mash shop
Yet among Cruz's latest gallery post was a picture of himself with his mother Victoria, a clear sign of solidarity after Brooklyn's claims.

On Monday, singer Marc Anthony broke his silence on Brooklyn's statement, insisting the way the family feud has played out 'is hardly the truth'.
The Latin singer, 57, spoke out three weeks after Brooklyn severed ties with his famous parents, Sir David and Victoria.
At the centre of Brooklyn's statement was the allegation that his mum Victoria had 'hijacked' his first dance with Nicola when Marc, who was performing during the reception, 'called me to the stage'.
He went on to claim that his mum 'danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.
Marc, who has been friends with David and Victoria for years, spoke out on the drama, describing the ongoing feud as 'extremely unfortunate' but adding that the way it has played out 'is hardly the truth'.

'I have nothing to say about what's happening with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family. I've known them since before the kids were born. I'm godfather to Cruz,' the singer explained.
'I'm really close to the family,' he added to in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
'But I have nothing to say about what happened there. It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out — but [how it's playing out] is hardly the truth.'
Shared across multiple Instagram stories, Brooklyn claimed his parents had been 'trying to ruin' his relationship with Nicola and controlling him 'for most of my life'.

According to Brooklyn, Marc called him on stage during the wedding and then called for Victoria to come dance with him, stealing the moment that had been carefully planned for Brooklyn and Nicola.
Reports say the singer even invited 'the most beautiful woman in the room tonight' to join him, and it wasn’t the bride Nicola, but Posh Spice, leaving guests completely aghast.

Nicola was left devastated by the three-minute dance to a love song performed on stage by Marc, and left the room in tears.
Her family went after Nicola and Brooklyn looked humiliated and also went to find his new wife after the 'awkward' dance took place, said DJ Fat Tony who performed at the wedding.
Before Marc spoke out on the claims, Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding DJ Fat Tony placed the blame on the Latin singer.
Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams revealed Marc had called Victoria to the dance floor with her son and instructed him, 'place your hands on your mother's hips'.
He explained: 'There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action! The word "inappropriate", why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.'

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the DJ said at one point Brooklyn's hands were on his mother's waist while her arms were placed around his neck.
‘The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment,' he told us. ‘It was in the heat of the moment. Brooklyn left right after the dance. Nicola left the room and afterwards he went after her.'
He went on: ‘Brooklyn is a friend of mine. The whole situation is just awful, the way it’s played out so publicly. Families are families, I don’t know what started it. At one point someone might say something publicly.’
