But in her caption the comedienne admitted she had some 'gastro issues' before and during the show.

The Trainwreck star thanked 'the medical staff at Mt Sinai and @atria.health for getting me through the show even though I had some gastro issues leading up to and during the performance I'm proud I made it through. oh boy!'

The 44-year-old movie star has been on the  drug Mounjaro which helped her lost 50lbs while battling Cushing syndrome.

Mounjaro commonly causes gastrointestinal (GI) issues, as it works by to make you feel fuller longer, according to GoodRX.

The most frequent side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach pain.

She has also been on hormone therapy for endometriosis and perimenopause.

After experiencing severe side effects with Ozempic and Wegovy, she later found success with Mounjaro and hormone therapy.

Schumer tried Ozempic and Wegovy but stopped due to severe nausea, noting she couldn't 'handle' the side effects. 

She later transitioned to Mounjaro, which she found more manageable.

Her weight loss journey was heavily impacted by managing Hashimoto's thyroiditis, according to a February 2026 report from People.com.

In 2025, she started estrogen and progesterone for perimenopause, which helped with energy, skin, and hair, notes a March 2025 report from TODAY.

This month Schumer said she felt 'strong' and 'healthy' after losing the weight.

Besides medication, she has mentioned the impact of previous procedures, such as a liposuction in 2022 following her endometriosis surgery and a laminectomy in 2025 for a back injury, as reported by the New York Post.

Her Wednesday post revealed she was in New York City.

The actress announced in December that she had split from the 45-year-old chef - with whom she has six-year-old son Gene - and as she marked her first Valentine's Day since they went their separate ways, the comedienne poked fun at her situation.

The I Feel Pretty star then joked in the caption that her dramatic weight loss and the professional chef being a 'hot James Beard award-winning chef who can still pull some hot tail' were not the causes for their break-up.

She ended the post with: 'Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.'

The former couple were first linked in November 2017 after they were photographed at a candlelit dinner together in New York.

Just days after they went Instagram official with their relationship in February 2018, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, which was .

Schumer shared a series of photos from their special day to Instagram, and she let the photos speak for themselves by simply captioning the carousel with: 'Yup.'

In October that year, the star made her pregnancy announcement via journalist Jessica Yellin of News Not Noise.
