Amanda Seyfrieds Tearful Moment at Met Gala

The Housemaid actress, 40, looked very teary-eyed at fashion's biggest night of the year as she chatted with reporters about a potential Mamma Mia three movie. 

She said: 'It was an iconic time for all of us to have something just work so well, for people and still working to this day. I can't wait to get back.'

However, fans were left worried for the American star, who skipped the annual event last year, as she looked close to tears.

Despite the emotional moment, Amanda stunned in a custom-made Prada princess gown and accessorised with eye catching Tiffany & Co jewelry.

The theme of this year's event - widely considered the Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets - was Costume Art, while the dress code was Fashion is Art.

This year's gala was marred with controversy over Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, 62, and wife Lauren Sanchez, 56, sponsoring the event.

The couple reportedly gave $10 million to the Costume Institute in exchange for being named honorary co-chairs.
