Actor Jung Eun-woo, 39, passes away suddenly.

Acclaimed South Korean actor Jung Eun-woo has died at the age of 39, his family have confirmed.

The actor's family broke the sad news a day after the star had posted a worrying post on Instagram.

The social media post featured photos of actor Leslie Cheung, who died at the age of 46 in 2003 and singer , who died in 2011 at 27. He also included photos of himself in the photo carousel alongside the caption: 'Missed, jealous, sorry.'

A cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. His funeral is set to take place on Friday.

Jung's acting career began with an appearance in the third season of the KBS drama titled Sharp, which ran between 2003 and 2007. He also appeared on several other series, including the SBS drama Bride of the Sun.
