Laura Anderson has apologised to fans in an Instagram video on Wednesday as she was forced to miss her Capital breakfast show.
The Love Island star, 34, revealed she had rushed her baby daughter Bonnie, seven months, to hospital on Tuesday and wrote: ‘A&E with bubba’.
Laura, who is the new host of the Scotland radio show which hits airways every weekday between 6am and 10am with co-presenter Fat Brestovci, issued an apology to her 1.5million social media followers.
She revealed she has had a ‘tough night’ with her little girl, who she shares with ex Gary Lucy, after she had a ‘really high temperature and her heart rate spiked’.
While holding Bonnie, Laura said: ‘I just wanted to apologise to the Capital listeners. I’ve not been able to make it into work this morning, unfortunately.

‘Bonnie comes first and I’ve not been able to get permanent childcare for her since starting the job. I don’t want to leave her with someone she doesn’t know until she’s better.
‘I know my co-host Fat is incredible by himself so the show will be amazing, and yes, I’ll be back tomorrow.
‘It’s been a bit of a tough night, I need to try and get a urine sample from this little one. But thanks for all of your messages.
‘Sorry to scare anyone, she’s just had a really high temperature over 39 when I got home yesterday and her heart rate spiked so we just need to get her checked out.’
Laura revealed her bundle of joy Bonnie was poorly on Instagram as she shared a photo of her sleeping in her pram in an A&E waiting room.
It comes after Laura admitted she ‘did everything to make her family work’ as she addressed her split from her ex Gary.
She accused Gary of ‘not supporting or seeing’ their daughter Bonnie in a scathing social media post.
Laura shared a video of her holding her daughter Bonnie up as she tried to stand in an adorable post which she shared to Instagram.

The thinly-veiled caption aimed at Gary, read: ‘How anyone could go without seeing or supporting their child is beyond me. I love you Bonnie Rose.’
Laura clarified her remarks in the comments of the post, where a fan queried her on/off romance with Gary, after they posted looking loved-up just a few months ago.
She wrote: ‘I did everything I could to make my family work, fool me. There’s no cryptic posts anyone I’m fed up of hiding the truth. Is what it is.’
Laura suggested that Gary does not have contact with their daughter Bonnie.
She said: ‘Why do guys get away with whatever they want it’s mental. Imagine I didn’t pay for Bonnie’s food, nappies, clothes etc etc etc.’
Gary has four other children India , 18, Elvis, 12, Sadie, seven, and Theodore, four – from his previous marriage to Natasha Gray.
Soon after Laura posted the video of Bonnie, Gary shared new pictures with Sadie and Theodore while out on a walk together.
Laura recently admitted that she didn’t expect to be a single mum but is determined to make it work for her daughter.
Laura and Gary met while filming Celebs Go Dating in July 2022 and have been together on and off since then.
The TV personality revealed she is ‘tired’ and that her ‘social life has taken a backseat’ now she is a single parent but she ‘has to make it work’ for her little girl.
Speaking to the Mirror , she said: ‘I think it was hard to get my head around initially, it wasn’t what I expected. But that’s the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course, I’m going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I’m a really good mum, to be honest.’

Discussing her busy work schedule, Laura continued: ‘She’s great, your social life does a take a little bit of a backseat but most people, your good friends understand that. Prioritise what you need to do, it’s just me.
‘I have to make it work. I am tired but of course, I’m going to be tired. I’m bringing up a human soul, that’s what I signed up for.
‘Think how many mums out there are struggling with that work-life balance, it’s not just me. It’s so relatable and that’s the best thing about Love Island, having a social media following, I’ve really understood it more since having a baby. It’s so nice to resonate and it really is a positive place’.
It comes after Laura confirmed she is ‘happily single’ after fans were left guessing over the state of her relationship with Gary .
It was believed the pair were back together after they shared a post kissing on New Year’s Eve.
Gary fuelled rumours they had split after he was seen cosying up to a mystery woman at a party earlier this year.
The Hollyoaks actor enjoyed the VIP launch of Gilgamesh on St Martin’s Lane London.
Making the most of the party atmosphere at the restaurant, Gary was seen getting close to a mystery beauty.
‘Gary looked very cosy with a girl at the table and was whispering in her ear. He was clearly here for a fun night and didn’t care who was watching,’ a source told MailOnline.

The on-off couple have had a tumultuous relationship after meeting on E4 reality show Celebs Go Dating in 2022.
The couple announced they were having a baby in February 2023, but split shortly after.
Since Bonnie’s birth in September, speculation over the pair’s relationship status has been mounting – with the couple hinting they were secretly back on in numerous snaps together.
