Australian Foo Fighters fans could very soon have good reason to celebrate.
It appears that the announcement of a 2026 Down Under visit from the legendary US rockers is imminent.
Australian touring company Frontier took to Instagram on Monday to tease that ‘big news’ relating to the Dave Grohl-fronted rockers was on the way.
An image was shared that showed a large Foo Fighters billboard perched atop The Winston pub in Hobart, Tasmania.
The image was accompanied by the caption, ‘Give me a reason, show me a sign,’ a line from the band’s latest single Asking For A Friend.
The caption also featured a link to a dedicated Foo Fighters page on the Frontier Touring website.

The link takes visitors to a black screen displaying the Foo Fighters logo with a countdown to ‘big news incoming’ at some stage on Wednesday.
The post was met with a flurry of excitement from Aussie Foo Fighters fans.
The location of the billboard was not lost on Tasmanians, either, with the band missing the Apple Isle on their last Australian tour.
‘Excuuuuuuse me? This billboard is in Hobart of all places?? Not quite sure what it means but I know that logo when I see it,’ one fan commented.
‘Super excited for this announcement,’ another offered, while a third chimed in with: ‘Looks like we’re off to Tasmania.’
While fans on the Australian mainland will have to wait until Wednesday for a potential tour announcement, a Foo Fighters show in Tasmania is pretty much a fait accompli.
Fan account Foo Fighters Live also shared a photo to Instagram on Monday night, showing promotional artwork for a ‘one night only’ Tasmanian show.
The purported gig is slated to go down at UTAS Stadium on January 24, 2026.

Billed as a ‘one night only event,’ this gig will apparently see the band share the stage with Brisbane rockers The Full Flower Moon Band and Tasmanian acid-rock three-piece Spooky Eyes.
While there has yet to be any official confirmation from Frontier about the UTAS Stadium show, the artwork features the tour promoter’s logo.
‘A promotional image for a one-off Foo Fighters show in Tasmania, Australia for January 24, 2026 has been found, coinciding with a teaser and countdown from @frontiertouring,’ the post read.Â
