Alan Carr issued a public apology to his friend Paloma Faith on Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on Thursday after he dramatically murdered her in plain sight.
The comedian, 49, ended up soaring to victory on the show after a nail-biting final on Thursday night, which saw him successfully hide his Traitor identity from the Faithful.
But appearing on spin-off Uncloaked with the rest of the star-studded cast after the episode aired, Alan confessed to feeling immense guilt deceiving his friends, particularly when it came to killing off close pal, Paloma, 44.
The comic chose make the pregnant singer the first victim, by touching her face with the pollen of a faux poisoned lily, leaving her furious at the betrayal.
Trying to defend himself, he told host Ed Gamble that he felt ‘awful’ doing the deed and insisted he had no choice but to pick his pal.
Alan said: ‘The thing is, when I killed Paloma I felt sick inside. And you’ve got to remember, it was such a cruel twist to touch someone’s face. Now, you’re the only one… I mean if I touched any of these other faces, I’d be sent to HR!’

He added: ‘It was so awful. I’m a fan of her music, I’m been a fan of her for a long time, we are friends, we go on each other’s podcasts. So, yeah it absolutely really hurt.’
When asked by Ed if he wanted to say anything to Paloma, who was sat in the audience, Alan apologised to her, before quipping that he had fathered her unborn baby.
He said: ‘I am so sorry. You know I am and I want to tell everyone that I’m the father of her child. We had a make-up hug and one thing led to another!’
As the audience burst into hysterical laughter, Paloma joked back: ‘I have been known to turn people. And it was an enjoyable experience for both of us I hope.’
She then showed that all was forgiven between her and Alan, despite speculation of a feud between the pair, as she voiced her happiness that he had won the competition.
She said: ‘But I just also want to say that I think observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, I feel that the reason that Alan won and the reason I was so sad was because we all love him so much.
‘And I love you so much and I’m so happy that you won because it was bloody worth it then. But I think that most people didn’t vote for you, because they’re like “How can we vote someone so lovable?” And it really concludes that thing, that you won it…’
Paloma emotionally added: ‘You hurt me and I loved you’, before Alan cut in to quip: ‘Only love can hurt like that, though!’ in reference to her hit song Only Love Can Hurt Like This.

Laughing, Paloma concluded: ‘I just think that he won it because everyone loves him and the nation loves him, and I’m just really happy that he won.’
She then took to her Instagram Stories after filming Uncloaked to play up the joke, as she pretended to reveal the identity of her baby’s father and what name they’d chosen.
Filming her blossoming bump, she told fans: ‘So everyone, it’s important that I reveal who the father of the baby is that’s in there – and what the name will be also.’
Alan then moved into view and immediately cradled Paloma’s growing belly, saying: ‘Oh beautiful’, as Paloma confirmed: ‘It’s our child. A love child!’
Unable to hold back his giggles, Alan then suggested a name for the little one, saying: ‘What shall we call it – Claudia?’
But, Paloma smirked at the camera and declared: ‘I think it’s going to be called Alan.’
The hitmaker announced she was pregnant with her third child last month after being booted out of the hit BBC show.
Paloma has been in a relationship with her boyfriend Stevie Thomas, a managing director of venue The JamHouse, for a year.

The star is already mum to two daughters, aged eight and four, with her ex Leyman Lahcine, who she split from in 2023 after nine years together.
Uncloaked aired right after Alan became the first Celebrity Traitors champion, having managed to remain undetected throughout the competition.
He faced an uphill battle as the Faithfuls voted out fellow Traitor Cat Burns, 25, earlier in the game, leaving him the last one standing.
After managing to convince Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga he was a Faithful and in doing so ending the game, Alan burst into tears when host Claudia Winkleman asked him to finally reveal his true identity.
Revealing the betrayal had been ‘tearing me apart’ a stunned Nick held his hand to mouth in shock, while David was – to quote Kate Garraway – ‘flabbergasted’.
The comedian said: ‘I was awful, I had no poker face but here I am. Maybe I do exaggerate a showbiz story now and again. But to just lie to people’s faces, it was tough’.
Fans of the show took to X to comment on the epic scenes, sharing their disbelief as to how Alan managed to win.
One wrote: ‘Well done Alan. Of the Traitors you deserved it most. It had to be you or Joe. Alan played it all brilliantly from start to finish. Murdering in plain sight twice. He more than earned it. Great charity too.’

Others said: ‘How Alan managed to win it still baffles me but kept us on our toes for sure’.
‘Who would’ve thought Alan Carr would be the greatest traitor of all time! What an incredible series. Our people’s princess for life.’
‘Alan Carr was hiding in plain sight. Nick Mohammed how could you? I literally thought they’ve left it late but they’ll get them all! Blahhh! Never mind, great charity. Children’s brain tumours need a lot more research’.
In the episode, the final five – singer Cat, rugby player Joe Marler, 35, comic Nick, 45, historian and broadcaster David, 55, and Alan – faced one last roundtable where suspicions ran high.
Joe, believing Alan and Cat were the Traitors, made a pact to vote against David while secretly plotting to expose them later.
Viewers watched with baited breath as David desperately defended himself, before the singer was voted out after Joe made a last minute U-turn.
Remaining Traitor Alan told viewers, Cat’s departure had ‘thrown a spanner in the works’ as he had to battle it out for the win solo.
Suspicions a Traitor was still lurking in their midst was still high as the songstress did not reveal her true identity in her departing speech.

Reflecting on her time, Cat said: ‘I wouldn’t change a thing. I got to the final. I’m proud of myself.’
Nick then turned on ‘true Faithful’ Joe in the final moments as the final four headed to the firepit to cast stones and reveal if they thought there was still a Traitor among them.
In a shock change of heart, Nick said he doubted Joe after spotting him say ‘I’m sorry’ when he banished Cat.
Nick said: ‘I adore you, honestly I didn’t believe it but you voting for Cat is what sealed it, but I love you.’
Joe said after being banished by his fellow Faithful: ‘I read it so wrong. It hurts to be stabbed in the back last minute like that’.
With just David, Alan and Nick, it was up to them to decide if there was a Traitor in their midst.
David said: ‘I’ve never believed Alan is a Traitor.’
Nick also voted to end the game. The actor said: ‘I genuinely believe both of you are Faithful. I think we did it’ – only for Alan to pull the rug from under their feet when he made his bombshell revelation.
