Scarlett’s directorial debut, which stars June Squibb in the leading role, was met with great praise when it premiered at Cannes Film Festival in May and received a five-minute standing ovation from the crowds.
June plays Eleanor Morgenstein, a woman in her mid-90s who moves from Florida back to New York after her best friend, a Holocaust survivor, dies.
But when Eleanor tries to keep herself occupied at a local Jewish Community Center, she accidentally sits in on a gathering for Holocaust survivors.
Instead of coming clean about the mix up, she adopts her dead friends story of surviving the Holocaust as her own, which leads to a snowballing series of lies and misunderstandings.
For her directorial debut, Scarlett opted not to appear in the film and instead stayed behind the camera.
So far, the divisive film has earned a mixed 64 per cent rating from the most prestigious critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes.
The actress recently revealed whether her husband Colin Jost would be returning to Saturday Night Live in the wake of four of its stars leaving prior to the start of season 51.
While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Johansson revealed that her husband is ‘going back to work.’

His status with the show was uncertain after it was announced that four of his costars Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim – would not be returning.
Jost has been with SNL for 20 years now after joining the long-running late-night variety show as a writer in 2005.
He later became head writer of the series, and in 2014 he stepped up his profile as a co-anchor of Weekend Update. Since then, he has become the longest-tenured Weekend Update anchor.
EW also confirmed that his co-anchor, Michael Che, would also be back behind the desk for season 51.
Johansson has proved to be a good sport by dropping by SNL several times in recent years for a raunchy series of swapped jokes that the anchors usually do to end the season or celebrate other special occasions.
She has usually been the butt of raunch jokes written by Che and awkwardly delivered by her husband, but she couldn’t say if she would be back for the tradition in the upcoming season, as she is usually invited at the last minute.
‘I think that’s basically the MO over at 30 Rock, is that everything is like moments before,’ she explained. ‘It’s usually like Friday night before the Saturday show.’
During her chat, Johansson added that she would ‘100 percent’ love to see her Eleanor The Great star June get a chance to host SNL this season.
