However, she was skewered over her fashion choices especially when it came to a pale yellow $18 Bahay Kubo ‘Bahay’ Headband she rocked with the ensemble as she was dressed by stylist Molly Dickson.
It was over Sweeney’s controversial American Eagle campaign, which was accused of pushing Nazi-like eugenics as aspirational.
‘Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color,’ Sydney said in the commercial. ‘My jeans are blue.’

The outfit was posted on celebrity fashion Instagram page Check The Tag and commenters were not kind about the look and her controversy.
One referenced her American Eagle ad as they wrote: ‘Who’s responsible for her bad fashion genes?’
‘Literally WHAT is the point of that headband?,’ an Instagram user wrote as another remarked: ‘The headband, the shape of the dress and length are not doing it for her. She needs to fire her stylist.’
Hairstylist Glen Oropeza coiffed Sweeney’s extension-filled brown waves and make-up artist Melissa Hernandez brought out her natural blue eyes with mascara and brushed-up brows at the gala.
