It's the biggest night of the year in Hollywood. 

And The Office star Lucy Davis revealed she got a coveted invite to the Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night, but decided to give it a miss. 

The decision to snub the 98th Academy Awards was a last minute one, as Lucy revealed she had even bought a dress for the red carpet. 

The actress, 53, who is best known for playing Dawn Tinsley in  comedy, looked lovely in a black leather dress as she partied at the W Hotel with her girl pals and enjoyed cocktails. 

She wrote: 'I bought a new dress for the I didn’t go. But a new dress was bought. Such a fun night at Hollywood. And no night would be good without a dog at the end'. 

Fans wrote in the comment section: 'You look amazing in that dress!' and 'Love the dress, you look stunning'.

Lucy made a name for herself in the noughties in ' The Office, and went on to appear in The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina as one of the lead's aunts Hilda Spellman.

She also played Etta Candy in the 2017 Wonder Woman movie, and Dianne in the 2004 horror-comedy Shaun of the Dead.

Lucy played Eva in Disney Channel's action comedy series The Villains of Valley View, which premiered in 2022.

One Battle After Another ended the 2026 awards season by winning Best Picture on a night where  and earned top acting prizes.

Jordan, 39,  shocked the world at the 98th as he upset  to win Best Actor for Sinners as Buckley, 36, took home Best Actress for her work in Hamnet at the event held at the Dolby Theatre in .

Paul Thomas Anderson accepted the top prize of the night alongside Teyana Taylor and the rest of the cast and crew as the film earned the most wins of the night with six. 

The American black comedy action-thriller film triumphed over a massive, competitive, field  including: Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sinners, and Train Dreams.

The actress, 53, who is best known for playing Dawn Tinsley in BBC comedy, looked lovely in a black leather dress as she partied at the W Hotel

The most talked about moment of the night will surely be that Jordan earned the top honor Best Actor for his leading role in Ryan Coogler film Sinners. 

Jessie Buckley continued her winning run as she earned Best Actress for her role in Hamnet.

The 36-year-old Irish actress beat Rose Byrne - If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson - Song Sung Blue, Renate Reinsve - Sentimental Value, and Emma Stone - Bugonia.
