The terrifying first trailer for Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot movie was released this week.
The new HBO Max movie set for release on October 3 and based on King’s 1976 novel – tells the story of a novelist Ben Mears (Lewis Pullman) attempting to save a small New England town called Jerusalem’s Lot, shortened to ‘Salem’s Lot.
He soon discovers his hometown has been invaded by vampires and bands together with new friends to fight the malevolent presence.
The trailer begins with Ben returning home for ‘research’ and connecting with Susan Norton (Makenzie Leigh), a young college graduate with ambitions of leaving town.
When he asks a priest ‘have you seen anything weird in the lot recently?’ he responds: ‘There have been some people who have had some unusual experiences.’
