Zooey Deschanel is doing some reminiscing, sharing her first ever headshots and audition from when she was just 16 years of age.
The 44-year-old grew up in showbusiness, the daughter of cinematographer/director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel.
She took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing her first-ever black-and-white headshots and her resume as a 16-year-old high school actress.
The actress captioned the snaps, ‘First headshots and resume. Just call my dad’s office number and my mom will drive me to the audition.’
The first headshot snap showed a smiling teen Zooey in a black top while the second showed her in a black hat with a floral print jacket.

The first headshot snap showed a smiling teen Zooey in a black top while the second showed her in a black hat with a floral print jacket.
A third snap showcased the same outfit from a wider angle while the fourth also showed a wider angle of her in the black top.
Her fifth and final frame revealed her resume, which began that the actress is, ‘in eleventh grade at Crossroads School in Santa Monica.’
The actress attended that school with a few classmates who would also find fame, such as Jake Gyllenhaal and Kate Hudson.
Her resume continued that, ‘Last spring she played Doria Hudson in a production of Smile, done at Crossroads School.’
The resume added that her other productions at the school included Our Town, Little Women, The Importance Of Being Earnest, Man of La Mancha, Annie, Street Scene and The Mikado.
It continued that she studied in a ‘Shakespeare program in England in 1995 and that she had a band called Saffron.
The last few lines of the resume revealed she, ‘went on a tour of Godspell to Northern California and played The Acid Queen in a production of Tommy in New York.’
While Deschanel attended Northwestern University, she dropped out after just nine months to pursue her acting career.

She made her television debut on Veronica’s Closet in 1998 and her film debut in Mumford in 1999.
After appearing in The Offspring’s music video for She’s Got Issues, she had a breakthrough as the rebellious sister Anita Miller in 2000’s Almost Famous.
She followed that with roles in The Good Girl, Abandon, Big Trouble, The New Guy, Elf, Eulogy, The Bridge to Terabithia and (500) Days of Summer.
Then in 2010 she had her small-screen breakthrough in Fox’s The New Girl, which ran for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018.
