Josh Hutcherson is back on the big screen as the leading star in Five Nights At Freddy’s and fans are going wild for the video game adaptation.

They have so far raved about the horror movie – with the good news that it was released with two days in advance in the UK theatres.

The film based on the namesake game series – originally created by Scott Cawthon in 2014 – sees troubled security guard Matt Schmidt beginning a new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

But during his first night shift at the infamous place – which was very popular in the 1980s and has been shut down until that moment – he realises that the night won’t be so easy to get through.

Mike’s 10-year-old sister Abby – played by Piper Rubio – will accompany him in the dreadful adventure, as he is haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before.

Throughout this nail-biting but bloodless, generic horror piece, Mike will unveil what actually happened at Freddy’s.

Directed by Emma Tammi and now rated 7.3 on IMDb, the movie presented £40M-$60M opening, making in the second-best domestic box office opening of the season right after Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, according to Deadline.

An unexpected choice of style for the script was to not have an R-Rate, as Tammi revealed they wanted to make a film more inclusive for the youngsters – and therefore less splatter scenes.

The A-list cast also sees Scream sensation Matthew Lillard and You actress Elizabeth Lail.

As the advanced date news in the UK dropped, fans took to X reacting with some giving raving opinions and some others begging not to get any spoiler until they see the movie.
