The actor Marc Blucas’ family is sharing a new update on the condition of the second victim of a deadly carbon monoxide leak.
Blucas’ mother-in-law, the model and actress Dayle Haddon, was found dead at the home of her daughter Ryan Haddon and son-in-law Blucas, 52, in Solebury Township, Pennsylvania.
In addition to Haddon, 76, a second man was found unconscious on the floor of the detached in-law suite on Blucas’ property and was rushed to a hospital.
The man was later identified as Blucas’ father Walter, 76, and he was reported to be in critical condition.
Now, Blucas’ sister has reportedly shared a positive update on their father’s condition.
On the evening of Wednesday, January 1, Kristen Blucas indicated that her father was on the road to recovery, according to YourErie.com.

It’s unclear how she shared her update, but the local news site reported that Walter had been making ‘positive progress,’ and his daughter said his critical care team had indicated that he was ‘strong.’
Kristen said the wave of support for her father and family had helped to lift their spirits in the wake of the terrible tragedy.Â
The positive update arrived a day after Haddon’s daughter Ryan shared another tribute to her on Instagram.
She previously praised the actress and catwalk star just a day after her untimely death, describing her as a’woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all,’ and calling her ‘deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out’ and ‘always kind and thoughtful.’
In her newest post, Ryan shared photos of her mother both as a young beauty and as a mature fashion star.
‘The reach of her spirit and kindness knows no bounds,’ she began her lengthy caption, adding that she ‘felt overwhelmed’ after reading conciliatory comments after her mother’s death.
‘What really resounds so deeply and thoroughly is the consistency of her leading with her heart in all areas of her life, through decades of living,’ she wrote. ‘It’s been a wave of love to wade in, while we swim in the deep waters of her loss in the physical.’
Ryan shared that December 31st was her birthday, which made her want to honor the mother who gave her life.Â

Blucas’ sister said their father was making ‘positive progress’ a day after Haddon’s daughter Ryan Haddon paid tribute to her on New Year’s Eve, the day Dayle gave birth to her daughterÂ

Ryan is married to Marc, an actor. He previously spoke about doing renovations at the couple’s home (Pictured in Beverly Hills in October 2008)
‘Being my mother is what she said gave her the most meaning,’ she wrote of Dayle, who had modeled with Blake Lively in her final photoshoot months before her death. ‘Her role as grandmother, her favorite. I honor her today as the creator of my life into which she imbued so much depth and meaning.’
Ryan noted that her mother ‘spoke about death … often,’ though in a curious and awe-inspired way that didn’t become morbid.
‘She promised she’d send signs and messages when she passed,’ the TV journalist continued, adding that she was looking forward to her mother’s ‘higher realm guidance.’
‘Dayle was a dreamer — both in life and in slumber. While asleep, she loved traveling to other realms and dimensions, with complicated and powerful experiences she loved to recount,’ Ryan wrote. ‘To know that she passed through the veil, in a deep, peaceful dream state is heartening to our family.’
She included thanks for the ‘thoughts and prayers’ for her mother on behalf of her husband Marc and Dayle’s grandchildren.Â
Ryan also shared that her mother would be honored with a ‘joyful celebration of life’ in New York City in upcoming weeks.
She concluded by wishing her followers ‘a new year of love and life fulfilled,’ adding ‘And may we all intend to live this year heart-led, sharing small and large acts of kindness the way Dayle embodied to the fullest. It really does become our legacy.
Police previously told ABC6Â that fumes from a faulty boiler may have been responsible for the deadly carbon monoxide levels that killed Haddon.Â

The main house on the property was reportedly not affected by the alleged gas leak.
The home was apparently still dangerous to first responders, as two paramedics were reportedly taken to a hospital for carbon monoxide exposure, while a police officer was treated at the scene. All three are reportedly in stable condition.
Police are reportedly still investigating the circumstances of Haddon’s death.Â
Carbon monoxide is particularly dangerous because of its reputation as a silent killer. The toxic gas is invisible and has no odor or taste, making it difficult to detect.
Carbon monoxide exposure can initially cause headache, fatigue and dizziness, and some people exposed to smaller amounts over time may confuse it with a feverless flu. It can also cause nausea and difficulty breathing, as well as confusion and drowsiness, which are particularly dangerous risk factors, as they increase the likelihood that someone may fall asleep or pass out before escaping the leak.Â
Carbon monoxide is released when fuels are burned, and it is particularly common in the winter when heating elements malfunction.
In addition to being a star of the screen and catwalk in her own right, Haddon was the mother of journalist Ryan Haddon, who is married to the actor Marc Blucas.Â
Haddon had worked on television news programs including Good Morning America, Extra! and PBS NewsHour.
Blucas is known for playing Riley Finn on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and starring in the USA series Necessary Roughness from 2011 to 2013. More recently, he had become a regular star in Hallmark TV moviesÂ
Home records, via NBC10, indicate that Blucas and his wife own the home where her mother’s body was discovered.
In an interview with Hallmark shared by the station, Blucas spoke about renovating the home, which was built back in the 18th century.
