The  star was found dead by police at around 7.30am on Wednesday at a rented property in Santa Margalida, Mallorca with fatal head wounds, believed to have been caused by shards of glass after falling through a glass door.

After his death, PrettyLittleThing founder Umar took to Instagram to share a lengthy tribute, praising Jake's 'infectious' energy and sharing how they'd spent time together weeks before his passing.

Jake had previously attended Umar's wedding and stag party, and the brand founder said he hopes he sees the 'love and adoration' others had for him.

Umar wrote: 'Ahhh Jake. I'm going to miss you so much my friend. Your energy, your pureness, your passion, your creativity, your love and many more. Just two weeks ago we were together laughing, joking and being mischievous as we always were together.

'You make me smile, dance, sing and playful because your energy was so infectious. You were an artist, creativity that always inspired me. I looked up to you so much for so many reasons, I wish you knew how much I loved you, I really hope i showed you my love clearly.

'You loved relentlessly, your beautiful daughter, your wonderful family, I pray for them so hard in these tough times.

'I can't believe we will never dance together again in this life, but I can't wait to do it again in the next life. I hope you look down and see the love and adoration the world had for you, something I know you wanted so much yet you always had it. Light up paradise my friend, I love you so much.'

Jake shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2015 and had an explosive on-off relationship with Chloe Lewis.

He left the show in 2016 and was reluctant to talk about it in any detail. But he revealed that he had not kept in touch with any of his co-stars and didn't believe that his time on TOWIE was a reflection of who he was.

'I was very young,' he said in his 2025 interview. 'And it was an experience. I'm in a very different place in life now and want different things. There has been a lot of good and bad.'

Jake also opened about finding early success hard, and that he had struggled with self-belief when he was younger which had a major impact on his life.

He was desperate to be a role model for children who had faced similar problems and could not see themselves succeeding.

'School was tough for me,' he said. 'I had dyslexia and quite a lot of problems growing up, and I want to show guys who might be similar to me that they can do it too. If I can, so can they.'

At the time of the interview in May last year Jake was celebrating the launch of his second clothing brand By Jake Hall.

It had already been worn by major stars including David Beckham, former Vogue editor Edward Enninful and Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

Four men and two women are said to have been quizzed by police following the tragic incident, after officers were called to a rented house in Santa Margalida.

A source said: 'Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting.'

No arrests are thought to have been made, but an investigation, led by the Spanish Civil Guard, is ongoing. Jake's autopsy is due to take place in Palma.

The Foreign Office said: 'We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.'

One neighbour described hearing 'loud noises' hours before police arrived which made his wall vibrate.

Another insider said: 'The Civil Guard are not ruling out any theory and are keeping all the options on the table.

'But the hypothesis that the dead man died while self-harming after a possible combination of too much alcohol and possibly drugs is still the one that appears to be the most likely at this stage.'

The results of the post-mortem, which will yield only partial answers and will be complemented with tests on tissue samples sent to a specialist lab on the Spanish mainland, will not be made public as is normal in Spain where they are sent directly to a local investigating judge.

The judge will order police to conduct more inquiries if he suspects any criminality has occurred and could have contributed to Mr Hall's death.

Respected local paper Ultima Hora claimed yesterday a neighbour had heard a group of people who rented it talking about drugs the day before the horror incident.

The neighbour told the paper they 'hadn't been causing problems' and seemed 'relatively normal' although he admitted to being scared by how one of the group members looked.

He claimed he also heard them talking in English about buying a property in the area, and reported he had been woken up a few hours before police arrived, saying: 'It must have been around 2am. It was late but I was still awake.

'I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something. I felt the walls vibrate. They stopped after about five minutes and then I fell asleep.'
