An Australian TikTok star has opened up about the unexpected moment she crossed paths with a major US celebrity.
Millie Ford, 28, revealed on her Missed the Memo podcast this week that she flirted with American football tight end Travis Kelce at a nightclub in New York – but didn’t know who he was.
The encounter, which occurred two years ago, took place when Millie went to see a DJ perform and Travis also happened to be in attendance.
The influencer explained that she was wearing a mask at the club, which Travis noticed and joked about from a distance.
‘I was like, “Oh my gosh, should I go over? He’s kind of cute”,’ she recalled on the podcast.
Millie said Travis, who is now dating pop superstar Taylor Swift, commented on her Australian accent and danced close with her in the VIP section at the show.
‘[He’s] talking to me. We’re having a laugh and [he said] “Oh my gosh, wait, can you take off your mask?” … And then we’re just like kind of dancing,’ she added.
‘And he commented on my accent. He’s like, “Oh my gosh, you’re Australian!”‘

Millie, who was still unaware of how famous Travis was at the time, went back to her friends who were notably shocked.
‘I go back to my friends. Their jaws dropped. They’re like, “Do you know who that is? It’s only like the greatest tight end of all time. Travis Kelce”,’ she continued.
‘And I was like, “Who’s that?”‘ Millie said, adding she was unaware that he’d go on to date Taylor Swift.
‘Do not come for me, Swifties. Nothing happened. I’m very happy for Taylor and Travis.’

Taylor and Travis are approaching their first anniversary, and the couple are reportedly doing better ever.
On the heels of the Kansas City Chiefs star joining the pop icon on stage at her Eras Tour gig in London last month, a source revealed that the lovebirds ‘really are very, very happy together.’
‘They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them,’ the insider told People.
The source close to the pair, both 34, raved that they ‘have so much fun together.’

The couple are currently making the most of their time together while she continues the UK and Europe leg of her world tour, before he returns to training camp for the Chiefs on July 21.
‘Football is definitely still his priority but so is his relationship,’ the source said. ‘He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.’
A second insider told the outlet that the football player ‘loved being onstage’ to join the 14-time Grammy winner on stage.
‘He is confident and fun, and it was one of her tour highlights,’ the source added.
Last month, while appearing on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Kelce gushed that ‘really’ started to fall for Swift as soon as he saw ‘how genuine she is around friends, family.’

The Chiefs tight end went on to say that while they want ‘to keep things private,’ they’re not hiding anything either.
‘That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s like… I’m proud of that,’ he said. ‘I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like, “how can I keep this under wraps?” You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.’
Given they are both all-time greats in their own industries, Kelce and Swift have dominated headlines ever since romance first blossomed last year, with the loved-up pair drawing attention from all across the globe.
Even for Travis, widely considered the best tight end in NFL history, the increased spotlight that dating Taylor has brought came as a major shock.

However, Kelce says his girlfriend’s ability to stay grounded despite her superstar status is what made him fall for her.
‘She’s very self-aware, but at the same time… she’s very self-aware. She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to fall for her,’ he explained.
On the most surprising part about dating Swift, Kelce continued: ‘[Paparazzi] has been the craziest thing. Definitely the pulling up to the house, the just random, I don’t know…
‘It’s a different demographic than the NFL, so it’s been cool to dabble in that and see her following and everything. It’s been fun because a lot more kids are into the game and the Chiefs fans have turned into a lot of her fans. And her fans have turned into Chiefs fans, so I’ve had fun with every aspect of it.
‘But when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get that.’
Kelce and Swift have been dating for the best part of a year, with the pop sensation’s first appearance at Arrowhead for one of his NFL games last September publicly confirming the relationship.
Since then the world’s most high-profile celebrity couple have gone from strength to strength; enjoying a host of trips away and nights out together, meeting the families and supporting each other in their respective fields.
