In a new interview, the actress, 30, hinted at how she wasย initially nervous to star alongside some huge Hollywood names in the HBO hit, however, she loves how their lifestyle differences – and her looks – sets her apart.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Aimee remarked: ‘These people live in Hollywood. I live in my little flat in South East London.
‘Iโm so British in my sensibility that I wasnโt sure how to handle being around so many people who are so front-footed and confident.ย All I ever do is take the p*** out of myself.’
Directly addressing the constant attention her distinctive teeth garners, she added: ‘Even the way (The White Lotus fans) are talking about me and my teeth โ that I donโt have veneers or Botox โ it feels a bit rebellious.’
The beauty, who shot to fame in Sex Education, previously told how she once thought she was ‘too ugly’ to land major roles after being tormented by bullies.

Aimee revealed to the Observerย back in 2021 how she used to be bullied over her appearance when she was younger, being picked on about her body and teeth.
This led to the star, who attended top acting academy RADA before taking on meaty theatre roles at The National in London among others, believing she wouldn’t get a TV job, saying she was ‘too weird-looking’.ย
A year earlier she was asked by Stylist if her teeth were a ‘barrier’ when it came to her career, with Aimee remarking that it was not the case.
She shared ‘No, I donโt. Itโs completely in my head. Itโs a myth Iโve told myself. I had it in my brain that Iโm not conventional-looking enough and thatโs a mental barrier Iโve had to overcome.’ย
However despite her words, last month Aimee admitted that her pearly whites may have stopped her landing a role as an American character.
She said during the February On Demand Entertainment interview: ‘Itโs the teeth. Like, no Americans have my teeth. They just donโt. Iโd have to get veneers. Because โฆ I think that genuinely is like one of the things.’
The actress portrays Chelsea in The White Lotus, the young girlfriend of Rick (Walton Goggins) who takes her to Thailand for a couple’s retreat but has other motivations behind the trip.ย
Earlier this month, Aimee described filming the series in Thailandย as ‘quite extreme’, comparing the experience to a ‘social experiment’.ย

Filmed at the Four Seasons in Koh Samui, the cast stayed at the hotel for seven months, both living and filming in the accommodation while regular guests were evacuated.
And in a new interview, Aimee – who barely got any time off due to her large role – opened up on the ‘extreme circumstances’ surrounding the filming, admitting that she wouldn’t describe it as ‘fun’.
Speaking to the Guardian about the intensity of shooting the third season, Amy said: ‘In the true sense, I was amazed by what was happening. How am I in Thailand? Living in a hotel, that we also film in? It was like a social experiment.
‘In a way I will never, ever forget. I will never have an experience like that again. It was so extreme. So the fun bits were unbelievable, so special. The ocean, the landscape, it was majestic. Mike [White, the director] is a genius. Everyone involved is amazing, itโs just the circumstances are quite extreme.’
Indeed, the situation was very extreme as theย crew, cast and staff were the only people Aimee saw for the the entire period, and while others got the opportunity to head home when their schedules allowed, Aimee wasn’t so lucky.

The Sex Education star told how due to her central role as the chatty Mancunian, she ‘never had a big chunk of time’ to fly home to England and enjoy some away time from the intensity of living and working in the hotel.
In fact, Aimee recalled people close to her became concerned for her wellbeing, with her pal and season two star Leo Woodall often calling to check up on her as ‘he knew what it was like’.
While her make-up artist Miia Kovero insisted that she had to go home as Aimee had become so wrapped up in her role that it was hard to tell who was the actress and who was the character.
She explained: ‘Sheย was like, “You need to go home. I donโt know who Iโm talking to any more, Aimee or Chelsea.” Iโd completely abstracted. Everyone becomes their character to an extent, but I didnโt even know who I was.’
