Australian television in the ’90s was flooded with tongue-in-cheek comedy shows, with many that would spark outrage today.
Sketch show Full Frontal was a huge success during that time, and launched the careers of notable stars like Eric Bana, Julia Morris, Shaun Micallef and Kitty Flanagan.
The show premiered in 1993 on Channel Seven, shortly after the similar sketch comedy program Fast Forward ended.
It consisted of a series of new and recurring sketches, with many comedians returning as their notable characters through the show’s run.
Full Frontal was a hit until it ended in September 1997, before a spinoff was formed at Network 10 dubbed Totally Full Frontal a year later and wrapped in 1999.
