The  star, 44, said she asked her doctor if she could take GLP-1s after her body changed during treatments and was disappointed when she was told no.

'I am a health and wellness coach who's dying of cancer,' she said on Wednesday's podcast episode of Two Ts in a Pod in a chat with her guest cohost, . 

'And because I gained weight from the steroids [from my treatment], because I'm getting bigger from the steroids, I asked my doctor if I could please have GLP-1s. And he was like, "No!"'

The  alum — who revealed she has been — expressed her frustration after her doctor disapproved, adding: 'Let me live!'

She recalled feeling like her doctor was telling her to 'live my best life, but I don't even get [the medications I want].'

'I'm so sorry someone told you no,' Catania responded as she suggested Mellencamp obtain the weight loss drugs elsewhere. 'But I don't know that I'd listen.' 

Mellencamp added: 'I mean, I know people where I could get it. I have friends that do it.' 

'Well, I'm taking it tomorrow if you want to start with me,' the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum told Mellencamp.

She recalled feeling like her doctor was telling her to 'live my best life, but I don't even get [the medications I want].' She added: 'Live your best life? Where are my GLP-1s?'

Continuing on the topic, Catania said she was hopeful that Mellencamp will survive and recover completely from the latter's stage 4 cancer diagnosis

Mellencamp initially received a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in 2022, and later got a stage 4 diagnosis, and underwent over 17 surgeries in the span of two years during treatment; pictured in May 2025
