Taylor Swift fans angry over ‘restricted view’ tickets for Liverpool concert

Taylor Swift fans were left fuming after being sold ‘restricted view’ tickets to her Liverpool Eras  gig on Thursday, sharing pictures on social media.

On Thursday, the popstar, 34, hailed the commitment of thousands of fans who braved the rain to watch her perform the first of three gigs at Anfield Stadium for the 100th show of her Eras Tour.

The American superstar performed in front of a 53,000-strong crowd at the Liverpool FC stadium – breaking the all-time attendance record for the arena.

However, not all fans were happy with their seats for the show, taking to social media to complain about their restricted view.

One attendee, who posts under the handle @shugartickz, shared a shocking photo of their view on X (formerly Twitter), penning: ‘Some view that,’ alongside two laughing emojis and a sick emoji.

‘Scandalous.’

‘No point going I’d ask for a refund.’

‘That is criminal.’

‘May as well stay at home.’

‘Disney plus for two years would’ve been cheaper and you can actually watch the concert!!!’

‘How is that even possible to be behind the stage.’

Another disappointed fan shared their own experience, writing: ‘Don’t remember buying restricted view? So angry #LiverpoolTStheErasTour.’

They posted a picture of their lower-bowl view which was obstructed by tents and technical equipment.

Meanwhile, a third fan who was left frustrated by their poor view of the concert posted a video, which quickly amassed over half a million views.

Zella complained about her obstructed view after spending an eye-watering £660 on VIP seats.

‘Paid £660 for VIP seats and this is our view. We asked and they won’t move us,’ she penned.

‘Actually going to cry.’

Fellow Taylor Swift supporters advised her to ask again, claiming she would have to be moved if she did not have restricted view tickets.

According to Zella, she had already made the attempt however the entire show was sold out meaning there was nowhere to move her to.

But all ended well for the super fan as she revealed she and a friend were given even better seats – so they could clearly see the superstar in action.

‘Thank you to everyone for the support and kindness! We had an amazing time in the end,’ she shared.

MailOnline have contacted Ticketmaster and Anfield for comment, although it’s not clear if a third party sold the tickets in question.
