Paul, 31, said in an Instagram Stories post on Sunday that she was 'born and raised Mormon (LDS)' and she'll 'always have love and respect toward it' but 'with that being said, it's time to detach myself from it.'
The Pueblo, Colorado-born reality star said she would continue to attend religious events with her family at times, but is making some personal changes based on her beliefs and life experiences.
'I strongly believe in Christ, God, the Bible, the divine,' she said. 'I believe we are loved whether we are praying in the church building or from a bathroom floor at home.'
She continued, 'I've also experienced grace and love from amazing people that aren't sure what they believe if at all and that's OK too. Point being there is more out there to learn and I'm writing this out as a release.'
Daily Mail has reached out to a representative for Paul for further comment on the story.

Mortensen told responding officers that Paul was 'not doing OK' while giving them a glimpse into the violence he alleged he suffered at her hands.
'I can't even tell you the stuff that's happened to me,' Mortensen said, showing off injuries he claimed came from Paul.
At that point, Paul re-emerged, and told Mortensen to leave immediately.
After Paul was arrested, Mortensen asked police officers if he could go to jail instead of her, saying that he just wanted her 'to get help.'
