Scott Probst, the brother of longtime Survivor host Jeff Probst, has died at the age of 58.

'Some sad news, our brother Scott is no longer with us,' their brother Brent said in an Instagram post on Monday. 'He was a great brother, son and friend. I will miss him so much ... I’m so sad he is gone.'

Scott's cause of death on May 9 was not immediately clear, but appeared to be health-related. Sources said the death was not considered suspicious. 

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner told the Daily Mail that the body was not brought to their facility, but rather transported to a nearby funeral home in Scottsdale, .

Scott had worked in the entertainment business, including stints on Survivor as a cameraman and art assistant over a total of 28 episodes, according to iMDb

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Jeff Probst, as well as local police and fire officials for further comment on the story.

He added: 'She was the best mom, grandma and just a fantastic person full of love and life.' 

The grieving son opened up about the health issues his mother faced in her final years.

'For the last couple years, she had full-time care for dementia and died one week before her 86th birthday,' Brent said. 'She had a great life and I am certain that I am a good person because she and my dad raised me with love and humor.
