Married At First Sight intruder bride Stephanie Marshall has revealed what she really thinks of her controversial new husband Tyson Gordon.

Speaking to Daily Mail after her bombshell debut, the 32-year-old real estate agent didn't hold back after watching her wedding day clash with husband Tyson over gender roles, 'woke culture' and his brutal 'frigid' jab.

'I didn't know what Tyson was saying to cameras,' she said. 'That all came as a little bit of a surprise, him calling me frigid.'

She admitted that she was left stunned watching back Tyson's private comments, including the moment he branded her 'frigid' after their photo shoot.

Steph, who appeared unfazed by Tyson labelling her 'too masculine' on screen, insisted she clocked his traditional 'protector-provider' expectations almost immediately.

'He made it very clear pretty quickly that he very much wanted to be the man, the protector, the provider,' she said.

'I've been single for a very long time… I'm very independent. I really don't need a man to protect me and provide for me.'

The pair tied the knot on Monday's episode after Tyson, a former Australian soldier turned property investor from the Gold Coast, raised eyebrows for declaring he didn't want a 'woke' partner and raising eyebrows for his inflammatory vows.

At the altar, viewers watched Tyson question whether Stephanie gave off 'woke vibes' before later taking issue with her career ambition and 'boss' energy, while his father openly wondered if his son really wanted a woman with a big career drive.

But Stephanie admitted she wasn't shocked by his reaction to her personality and wasn't about to shrink herself to make him comfortable.

'It didn't really bother me, to be honest,' she said of being branded 'masculine'.

Stephanie said she joined the experiment because she knew she needed a dramatic life shake-up to find love after years of being single.

'I always knew that if I was to really pull myself out of my comfort zone, it had to be a bold move,' she said.

'Life is very comfortable for me… but I always knew there was kind of a missing piece to the puzzle.'

Despite working in a high-stakes industry where her reputation matters, Stephanie said she wasn't too worried about going on reality TV and believed her character would 'shine through' if she stayed true to herself.

'I'm very confident and secure in the person that I am… I have good morals, I've got good values,' she said.

'And I just knew that if I stood true to all of that, it would shine through.'

However, Stephanie admitted the 'red flags' started flying almost as soon as they walked away from the altar.

'I recognised it pretty quickly,' she said.

'I think it was probably after we said our vows… and then at our photoshoot, he was just saying a couple of things.'

Stephanie said one moment in particular made her uneasy — Tyson's comments about his ex-wife.

'Even about his ex-wife, he was calling her crazy,' she claimed.

'I'm okay for everyone to have their set of views,' she said.

'For me, it's more so the language that we use around them… being a bit more emotionally intelligent… do I actually care about the feelings of others, or do I just not give a f**k?'

'I think Tyson is probably more the latter, whereas I'm probably more the former.'

Stephanie also revealed she walked into the experiment already sensing a major divide among the cast - and claimed some contestants tried to recruit her to their 'team' almost immediately.

'It's very clear that there is a divide, and I kind of walk into the middle of it all,' she said.

In an unexpected twist, Stephanie said she found comfort in a familiar face on her wedding day - and it was another groom entirely.

'I found comfort in Grayson,' she revealed.

'Him and I actually worked together a few years prior. So just to see that familiar face and know that he was in the experiment… I gravitated towards that.'

Still, Stephanie insisted she went into MAFS hopeful and determined to stay calm rather than combust. 'I'm committed, and I'm willing to give it a go,' she said
