The former Steph’s Packed Lunch presenter, 42, appeared in good spirits as she sported a wrist sling after breaking her arm in half after slipping on the ice outside her home.

She draped a long dark jacket over her shoulders and elevated her frame in a pair of white stilettos.

Steph accessorised the evening ensemble with two chunky bangles and wore a dramatic pair of drop earrings.

The TV host, who was one of the stars of the new Netflix adventure show, looked in good spirits as she celebrated the premiere.

Celebrity Bear Hunt sees Steph take on a number of extremely daunting challenging, including being rushed to medics after crashing into a cliff.

Speaking with MailOnline at the premiere, Steph admitted the scariest moment of film was when she had a ‘medical incident’.

But it wasn’t until she returned home that she suffered her most agonising injury – after slipping on the ice and breaking her arm ‘in two’.

She told MailOnline: ‘This is me slipping on the ice at home. Like I survived Bear from the Bear Pit and everything else that came with it and then fell on my front door step.

‘I think the frightening thing about it is not knowing every time you’re going into something. When the medical incidents happen to us in those moments I didn’t feel frightened because I felt like there was a full medical back up’.

After finishing the Netflix series, Steph revealed the celebrity cast did ‘karaoke’ to celebrate in Costa Rica.

She said: ‘We did karaoke with Una [Healy] and then everyone in Costa Rica was literally like, “oh my God, she’s the best singer in the world. Who is this woman?”

‘I got them to do a Saturdays song. And they were like oh my god she sounds so much like the woman who sang it.’

Giving an update on her injury over the weekend, Steph shared a number of pictures from hospital and said she is hoping she doesn’t still need surgery.

The presenter said it is the ‘most painful injury I’ve ever experienced’ and her ‘confidence’ has been knocked.

She wrote: ‘Three weeks in…..3-9 more to go. My nickname at school was funny bones….they ain’t so funny now! It is the most painful injury I’ve ever experienced and has given my nerves/confidence a right battering. BUT I’m on the mend…….

‘Pic 1 – Barry brace and Susie sling – quietly getting on with their job of healing/supporting my arm. I hate them and love them in equal measure. Barry stinks. It’s so hard to keep them clean when you can’t take them off! Wet wipe life.

‘Pic 2 – Mid shaft humeral fracture over the weeks…… when it first happened to where it is now. It’s much more aligned. Still a long way to go, hopefully without surgery.’

‘Pic 3 – Andy at the Urgent Treatment Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital – his friendly face was the first one I saw when I rocked up with my arm hanging off one Friday night. This pic is from yesterday (three weeks after fall) when I was back at the centre checking some increased swelling/pain I was feeling that had been freaking me out. He, once again, was very reassuring.

‘Pic 4 – Bec Critchley – the NHS surgeon at the RVI hospital who I saw first (after Andy) at 2am that Friday fall night. I love this woman – great at her job, effortlessly cool and she managed to stop me from having a total meltdown. This pic is from when I bumped into her at the hospital a week after the fall.

‘Pic 5 – hospital visits since the fall. I am wearing a lot of jumpers at the moment as they’re the most practical.’

Billed as ‘the ultimate survival challenge’, the Netflix programme sees a group of unlikely celebrities get dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.

However, the show proved to be particularly dangerous for presenter Steph as a shock incident saw her almost break her nose after swinging face-first into a cliff face, reports The Sun.

Steph is said to have been struggled to walk after being covered in bruises, while at one point there were fears she may have been concussed.

The horror smash is also said to have left host Holly Willoughby fighting back tears amid Steph’s ordeal, with there being concerns that the journalist wouldn’t be able to continue.

Luckily for the star, she was deemed fit to continue 24 hours later, though her injury was still visible in the trailer as she was seen with a plaster across her nose.

A source told the publication: ‘Not only was it terrifying for Steph, but for everyone watching – cast, crew and Holly included.

‘Holly was visibly shaken and close to tears, and at one point could be seen covering her face with her hands.

‘It was touch and go about whether Steph would have to leave on medical grounds, so she was monitored for the next 24 hours.

‘But Steph is a trooper – she was determined to stay and luckily for her, she was given the green light to continue.’
