The veteran presenter, 46, portrayed the Hollywood bombshell in the movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood, which was filmed in in 2003.
In honour of Marilyn's 100th birthday, Sophie shared a clip from the movie on social media, which captured her in character as the Some Like It Hot star.
Sophie looked practically unrecognisable in the throwback footage, completely transforming into the silver-screen legend with Marilyn's signature platinum blonde curls, sultry winged eyeliner and a bold crimson lip.

Clad in a glamorous, form-fitting white ensemble, the former Popstars breakout star effortlessly channelled Monroe's breathtaking charm and breathy, delicate vocal delivery in the brief scene.
'Happy 100th birthday Marilyn!' Sophie captioned the nostalgic post. 'I loved playing her in the movie. Cute wigs.'

Many were surprised that they weren't aware that Monk had ever played the screen icon.
