Melissa Leong stunned again on Tuesday, when she stepped out for the National Designer Awards in Melbourne.

The famous foodie, 43, was among a litany of celebrities, including Megan Gale, Julie Bishop, and Olivia Molly Rogers for the glittering event.

Known for her unique sense of sartorial style, Melissa went with a recycled look for the occasion.

She stepped out in the same number she wore for a Lunar New Year event at Crown Sydney back in February.

Regardless, Melissa looked no less stunning in the bright yellow maxi dress with long sleeves.

The dress boasted dramatic tassel details on the sleeves and a high neckline while skimming her figure.

Melissa added a pair of heeled mules and carried a slouchy brown leather bag on one arm.

She completed the look with pearl drop earrings as well as a number of rings.

For makeup, Melissa chose a rosy look and added a nude lip gloss while wearing her bob down and straight.

It comes as Melissa recently made a very surprising fashion admission about a particular article of clothing that is beginning to win her over.

Writing in Stellar magazine in November, Melissa revealed that she likes to dress up and look glamorous while heading to the airport.

Unlike most travelers, who opt for a very comfy style while in the air or on the road, Melissa said she prefers to ‘dress up’ while heading off on a flight, but is now learning to embrace one form of more casual clothing.

‘I’m a fan of dressing up at the airport (Google my name and ‘airport’ for proof, if you feel so inclined, but there’s one piece of clothing I’m beginning to change my mind about,’ she wrote.

‘Tell me if I’m way off base… it’s track pants.’

Melissa admitted she isn’t keen to dress down in any garden variety ‘trackies’, but had a very particular brand of the comfortable garment in mind.

‘I’m thinking of a classic pair of Adidas Firebirds, or some other emulation of this style – not the threadbare grey ones your dad should have thrown out a decade ago,’ Melissa continued.

She admitted she has found herself won over by how the ‘fashion girlies’ have been ‘rocking’ the Firebirds with sneakers and heels, T-Shirts and blazers.

Melissa confessed that she recently tried a similar combination for herself, saying she might owe the humble tracksuit bottoms an apology.

The celebrity chef also recently  revealed why she thinks people might find her intimidating.

‘I am aware that sometimes, by being a little verbose, being a little wordy, word nerdy, that it can intimidate people,’ she remarked on the Mental as Anyone podcast back in October.

Melissa went on to say that her style and the way she carries herself were also ways in which others might think she has a superiority complex.

‘Looking put together makes other people feel like they’re less put together and that is never the intention,’ the television star said.

‘I think sometimes when we meet someone who we find a little intimidating, we need to sometimes break that down.

‘What is it about this person that’s holding a mirror up to myself and that I feel less than adequate in front of them and kind of work on the critical thinking about that.

‘Suddenly you see them as being maybe a little bit more human and being a little kinder to yourself and hopefully you meet somewhere in the middle.’
