Skye Wheatley gets ANOTHER cosmetic procedure after she broke her silence on plastic surgery addiction and admitted she suffers from body dysmorphia

Skye Wheatley has gone back under the needle, less than six months after getting a controversial ‘fox eye lift’ and several other beauty enhancement procedures in Turkey last year.

The influencer, 30, starred in a promotional video for Gold Coast cosmetic injectables clinic over the weekend, sharing the results of her new side profile to Instagram on Monday after getting ‘chin filler.’ 

Chin fillers involve injecting temporary dermal fillers, which are gel-like substances, into the soft tissues of the jaw to create a stronger jawline. 

‘My side profile is all in line now,’ Skye captioned a selfie posted online following the $599 injectable. 

‘My chin used to go back into my head I swear it was shrinking or something.’

Skye travelled to Turkey last year in September to undergo several procedures.

In addition to her fox eye lift, which she said made her look like an ‘angry bird’, she also had liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift and a blepharoplasty.

A temporal lift is a fat transfer into the face to prevent the need for injectable dermal fillers and a blepharoplasty is an eyelid surgery.

The fox eye lift surgery, designed to mimic the red carpet look of the same name, has pulled back the outer corner of her eyes to have the almond shape usually achieved with dramatic eye make-up.

Skye was forced to address accusations of a plastic surgery addiction shortly after she announced she was travelling to Turkey for the procedures. 

‘Really not being a hater – but YOU’RE the exact reason girls have self esteem issues,’ one follower wrote on her Instagram.

‘Everyone is beautiful with or without surgery, but I think the more damaging thing is to get all these enhancements done without being honest about it,’ Skye clapped back.

‘There [are] so many girls online who’ve had surgical enhancements and say nothing. I won’t be one of those people.’ 

Just a couple of weeks later Skye admitted that she suffers from body dysmorphia.

She cried in an emotional video posted to TikTok and admitted the illness is ‘probably why’ she’s had so many cosmetic procedures, adding she was terrified her two sons will eventually suffer from the same condition.

‘I know that I’m probably mentally ill and I know that I have body dysmorphia,’ The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner said.

‘I just put a lot of pressure on myself to be perfect. That would kill me and break my heart if my kids went through that.

‘I do not want them to go through that.’

She also opened up about her failed childhood dreams and admitted she had ‘daddy issues’.

‘When I was little, I wanted to be a famous singer. I dreamed of being a famous singer, but as I got older and older I doubted myself more,’ she said.

‘I always had this little voice in my head saying “You’re not good enough”.

‘Maybe that’s daddy issues, I don’t know. But I’ve always been like this. I’ve always had this voice in my head saying “you’re not good enough”.’

Body dysmoprhia, or body dysmorphic disorder, is a mental illness where sufferers obsessively focus on a perceived flaw in appearance.

The flaw may be minor or imagined, but a person with BDD may spend hours a day trying to fix it. 

According to the American Psychiatric Association, people with BDD ‘often seek unnecessary surgical interventions’. 

In Australia, the cosmetic surgery industry brought in a number of rigorous reforms backed by practitioners in July 2023. 

New rules for Australian cosmetic doctors include a mandatory GP referral before all cosmetic surgery, new testing for body dysmorphia in patients, and a one-week cooling off period between consultation and procedures, plus a crackdown on advertising (including social media) that downplays risks. 

On Monday, Skye filmed her ‘day on a plate’ for a ‘lean down’, including her calorie counting her day for her TikTok followers. 

Skye and her long-term partner Lachlan Waugh share two children sons – Forest, five, and Bear, three.
