Alongside her case-solving skills, viewers have long admired the clothes worn by Emilia Fox in Silent Witness.

From floral dresses to herringbone jackets, the BBC1 drama’s forensic pathologist Dr Nikki Alexander dresses flawlessly.

And now the Mail can reveal that, in a case of art imitating life, Ms Fox has a personal collaboration with the brand, Wyse London, which makes many of the clothes worn by her character.

Ms Fox, 49, has made no secret of her long-running friendship with the brand’s owner, Marielle Wyse, 60, and announced in May that she had collaborated on a line selling a pink blazer for £265 and matching trousers for £180.

The BBC has strict rules about its talent promoting products on its platform but a spokesman for BBC Studios told the Mail: ‘A range of brands are worn across the series, none of which are named or given undue prominence. Clothing is sourced by the costume department and paid for in full.’

A spokesman for Ms Fox has said the actress has no financial benefit from the collaboration and there was no sponsorship deal in place.

In the current season of Silent Witness, her character has worn at least one item from the clothing range in every episode.

In one episode she wears a floral print top which is seen on the brand’s website being modelled by Catherine Weller, Wyse’s stylist and content creator who bears a resemblance to the actress.

In the first episode of the latest series, shown last month, Dr Alexander wears a £295 berry red Isobel cord dress and £260 dark grey tweed herringbone jacket.

In the second she was seen in a £170 sleeveless jumper and a £220 cordless double-breasted jacket.

Later in the series, Ms Fox is seen in the berry red dress again, a £165 pink blouse and a £245 flannel jacket.

A £275 bluebell dress also became a favourite for Ms Fox during filming.

Ms Fox began wearing Wyse outfits on screen in the series which aired in 2022.

At the time she was showcasing Wyse via her Instagram account and had been doing so since 2019, when she was pictured wearing a dress from Wyse during her appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox.

She later posted a photograph on Instagram and tagged the brand.

When her collaboration was announced in May, she said it ‘feels like a joyous celebration of our friendship and shared belief in wearing clothes that are stylish, expressive and fun’.
