Sian Welby looked to be on cloud nine as she flashed a beaming smile while leaving Global Radio studios in central London on Wednesday.

The pregnant radio presenter, 37, showcased her blossoming baby bump in a form-fitting nude dress, which she paired with some cream loafers.

The Capital Breakfast host carried a large brown Louis Vuitton bag and a smaller cross-body black bag, to which she attached a Baby On Board badge.

Her dress was mid-ankle length and she paired it with gold necklaces, and silver rings and a bangle.

To her dress, Sian pinned a forget-me-not flower badge, a symbol long-since associated with dementia.

Sian revealed in January that her father Ian, 84, was battling vascular dementia, dementia caused by reduced blood flow to the brain.

Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders (those affecting the brain) which impact memory, thinking and behaviour.

More than 900,000 people are living with dementia across the United Kingdom.

Sian told This Morning at the time: ‘It’s one of the most devastating, my dad’s going through it, he has vascular dementia.

‘You’re scared to lose a person that you know, it is quite frightening! Like you say, would I want to take a test knowing I could be susceptible to it?

‘It’s hard to know! I don’t know if I want to know, is ignorance bliss? But then again, if I could do something about it?

On Tuesday gone’s This Morning, Sian, who is 37 weeks pregnant, revealed she was ‘forced to urinate in the middle of the A3’ after being trapped in horrendous traffic at the weekend.

She said: ‘I had to do a wee in the middle of the road, into the bush and I didn’t dare go in there as it was full of brambles and nettles’.

On Tuesday gone’s This Morning, Sian, who is 37 weeks pregnant, revealed she was ‘forced to urinate in the middle of the A3’ after being trapped in horrendous traffic at the weekend

The person she was travelling with captured the hilarious moment on camera, with Sian darting to try and find some privacy so she could wee.

Presenters Dermot O’Leary, Josie Gibson and Giles Brandreth broke out into laughter at the scenes, with Giles saying: ‘Is this you coming back from your wee? Now I’ve seen it all. Morning television isn’t what it used to be, is it?’

Dermot added: ‘The mystique is definitely gone, but who doesn’t love a pee-pee rustique from time to time?’

This prompted Sian to admit: ‘Do you know what? It was exhilarating.’

Sian kept her followers up-to-date with the horrendous traffic on social media which took almost five hours to clear.

As the traffic started to move, the pregnant star filmed the ‘reported roadworks’ which hadn’t even occurred – with a row of traffic cones causing the chaos that brought the motorway to a standstill.

Sian is expecting her first child with her Heart producer fiancé Jake Beckett.

Also at the studios on Wednesday was Heart FM presenter Ashley Roberts who went braless in light cream suit.

The star wore a vest with faux pockets and matched it with high-waisted trousers and a weaved saddle bag.

WHAT IS DEMENTIA?

A GLOBAL CONCERN

Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders (those affecting the brain) which impact memory, thinking and behaviour.

There are many types of dementia, of which Alzheimer’s disease is the most common.

Some people may have a combination of different types of dementia.

Regardless of which type is diagnosed, each person will experience dementia in their own unique way.

Dementia is a global concern but it is most often seen in wealthier countries, where people are likely to live into very old age.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE AFFECTED?

The Alzheimer’s Society reports there are more than 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK today. This is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting between 50 and 75 per cent of those diagnosed.

In the US, it’s estimated there are 5.5 million Alzheimer’s sufferers. A similar percentage rise is expected in the coming years.

As a person’s age increases, so does the risk of them developing dementia.

Rates of diagnosis are improving but many people with dementia are thought to still be undiagnosed.

IS THERE A CURE?

Currently there is no cure for dementia.

But new drugs can slow down its progression and the earlier it is spotted, the more effective treatments can be.
