Shawn Johnson revealed the name of her newborn son in a sweet video that was shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday.
The 31-year-old former Olympic gold medalist shared a heartwarming video of herself cradling ‘our sweet sweet Bear’ while resting in bed.
The athlete, who welcomed her child earlier this month, also wrote that her baby boy was already ‘eating and sleeping like a champ,’ much to the delight of his family.
Johnson went on to share a close-up photo of Bear, and added a text graphic to express that hew newborn was ‘perfect.’
The gymnast then posted a snap that showed Bear resting on the chest of his father, Andrew East.

The happy couple first met in 2012 and they began their relationship that same year.
Johnson and the former professional football player became engaged in 2015, and they held a wedding ceremony in Tennessee the following year.
The pair initially planned on starting a family in 2017, although the gymnast suffered a miscarriage that October.
The former Olympian announced that she had become pregnant for the second time in 2019, and she gave birth to her daughter Drew, four, that October.
Johnson and East waited for two years before welcoming their son Jett, two, in July of 2021.
The former athlete revealed that she was planning on having another child this past July.
The happy couple spoke to People in May of last year and opened up about what they wished they would have known about parenthood before welcoming children.
East stated: ‘There are so many logistics added with a kid it’s so easy to lose marriage as a priority.’

Johnson went on to encourage couples expecting to children to try to strengthen their connections with each other.
She stated that parenthood ‘just puts stress on your marriage unless you prioritize it. You have to actively work on your marriage.’
Johnson also added that she learned to feel more comfortable her own body over the course of her pregnancy.
‘I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated my body more. It was a very freeing feeling. I loved it,’ she said.
