has revealed that she was losing her hair while starring on The Project.

The television star, who was on the current affairs series between 2023 and 2025, until the show's cancellation, says her hair was 'tortured' on set.

The 44-year-old showed off the short chunks of regrowth on her scalp after she stopped having her hair in a video posted to Instagram this week.

'As good as my hair looked on tele, it was actually falling out in clumps,' she said in the clip.

'It was being tortured. But after a year (off screens), can you see all that extra growth? That is all new hair coming through.'

Holding up pieces of her regrowth for the camera, Sarah added: 'Look at that. How crazy.

'So it turns out having a head for radio is really good for your hair.'

Sarah however insisted that she is not complaining about the styling and beauty treatments she endured on the show - in fact, she misses them.

'So nobody warned me this would happen after I left TV. And look, right from the start, I just want to be very clear. I really miss the glam,' she said.

'I miss the girls. I miss the false lashes, the daily blow dries.

'And it really annoys me when people complain about sitting in the makeup chair for an hour.

'It's like, hello, you're not digging a ditch. You're getting paid to sit in a chair so people can make you look hot!'

Sarah spent two-and-a-half years on The Project before the show was axed last year, admitting the decision came as a shock.

'I'm of the opinion that you don't get angry when a show is axed, you just be thankful that you were able to have the experience,' she told Stellar Magazine last year.

'As good as my hair looked on tele, it was actually falling out in clumps,' she said
