I’m A Celeb champ Sam Thompson is being lined up for a presenting role on This Morning as ITV welcome him into their extended family.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, scooped the title of Jungle King during Sunday night’s final of the series, earning an enormous 56.64 per cent of the public vote.
And bosses at the daytime programme are hoping to maximise on his popularity by signing Sam as their new Showbiz correspondent, given his enthusiasm for television.
During his winners’ speech after being crowned by Josie Gibson, Sam said how joining the lineup of I’m A Celeb stars this year was a ‘dream come true’ and winning the competition went beyond his wildest imagination.
Sources close to the presenter say having him back on the channel alongside former Jungle campmate and This Morning host Josie would be brilliant and after proving there’s nothing that he can’t do, Sam would be a fantastic addition to the ITV family.

Sam was crowned King of the Jungle by former campmate and This Morning host Josie Gibson, who told the reality star he was a deserving winner of the title
It has also been speculated that he could star in a travel series alongside runner-up Tony Bellew following the pair’s bromance in the jungle
A source told MailOnline: ‘There is no one that loves TV more than Sam Thompson, he has proven that throughout his stint in the jungle.
‘The ITV viewers now love him back and after winning I’m A Celeb by a landslide, it makes sense to keep him on the channel and utilise his new profile.
‘Producers are keen to get him on the show during days where Josie is presenting and then there’s Marvin Humes too, it’s important for them to nurture their talent once they have it.’
TV bosses hope that Sam can follow in the footsteps of former Jungle Queen and his ex-Made In Chelsea co-star Georgia Toffolo, 29, who landed a role on This Morning after her I’m A Celeb win in 2017.
It has also been speculated that he could star in a travel series alongside runner-up Tony Bellew, 41, following the pair’s bromance in the jungle.
Replicating the success of his partnership with ex-TOWIE star Pete Wicks, the Chelsea favourite grew close to the heavyweight boxer, playing off of his boisterous personality compared to Sam’s giddy enthusiasm.
Sam became a regular face on ITV2 this year after joining the presenting panel of Love Island spinoff show Aftersun alongside host Maya Jama and former Islander Indiyah Polack.
He met his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott, 26, after she rose to fame on the series in 2018 and has since made a name for himself as a Love Island super fan.
Former TOWIE star Pete Wicks supported best pal Sam throughout his jungle journey, meeting him at the end of the show’s famous bridge instead of his girlfriend Zara McDermott
A source told MailOnline that Sam joining the This Morning family could see a reunion between him and regular host Marvin Humes as well as presenter Josie Gibson
Josie was thrilled when she was voted out of the jungle show after desperately missing her young son Reggie
And Zara starred on Strictly Come Dancing this year, with her commitments to the BBC show preventing her from flying to Australia, leaving Pete to meet Sam as he crossed the bridge.
Instead, the documentary maker hosted a big party at Sam’s house attended by his mum Karen, sister Louise, her fiancé Ryan and their child Leo.
Sam has been celebrated by viewers for embracing his ADHD, which became the subject of the star’s Channel 4 documentary earlier this year.
The programme, which aired in May, saw Sam be diagnosed with ADHD and autism after he admitted to struggling throughout his life with his short attention span and hyperactive personality.
