Sam Mac Strips Live on Sunrise!

stunned viewers on Thursday when he spared all modesty and stripped naked during a live cross from Kyoto, Japan.

The notoriously cheeky weatherman was seen slipping out of a robe and baring his bottom before stepping into an onsen - a traditional heated bath.

Sam, 43, took part in the hot spring dip alongside three other men, who braved the freezing weather.  

'It's great for your skin. It's great for relaxation, great for your body,' Sam told viewers, before adding, 'But it's customary in  to do it completely naked. Completely nude.'

Known for his naughty sense of humour, Sam continued with his introduction, before taking his dip: 'But some things are universal, right? Like nudity. So that's exciting for everyone. So we're going to get in the onsen in just a moment.'

He then pointed to the roof of the onsen which was covered in snow and explained: 'It's very cold here, minus one.'

He then bared all, which sent the Brekkie Central team, including Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington, into fits of laughter.

After making his way to the edge of the spring, all the while hiding his nether regions from the camera, Sam then made a raunchy joke:  

'When I was outside it was an inner - and I'm not talking about my belly button - but I think we should cut back to you guys before you see my chopsticks.

A censored clip, which used a filter to obscure Sam's bottom, was later shared to Instagram - and met with an enthusiastic response.

'That was hilarious,' wrote one viewer, who added: 'Glad I got to see the unedited version this morning. Bloody hilarious,' while another joked, 'Very educational.'

A third fan added: 'Very good camera work from the person who saved your dignity.'
