Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is allegedly 'spiraling' and 'back to his old ways,' a source has claimed to the Daily Mail (pictured at SiriusXM Studios in NYC on April 21)

The reality star sparked concern when he appeared to nod off during a cast sit-down with Stars on SiriusXM in April

The star's eyes were seen slowly shutting during the interview

'He has a past addiction with alcohol and there are fears he's back to his old ways,' the insider said.

When asked about the viral video, they said: ‘It's shocking, and it's very sad.’

They claimed that Ortiz-Magro started to change a few months ago, with his concerning behavior allegedly escalating around the time of his breakup from his ex-girlfriend of three years, Kirsten Simmermeyer, 34. While she has not been officially introduced to the public, she appears on the new season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

'Everything was normal at first, but then it took a turn for the worse,’ the insider said. ‘She doesn't know who this person is anymore and never saw this side of him before.’

Ortiz-Magro and Simmermeyer - a makeup technician and esthetician - had shielded their relationship from the public eye, never posting photos together online. They broke up in March, when he allegedly kicked her out after she reportedly discovered his infidelity.

'He threw her out [of their home] because she believed she had caught him cheating,' the insider claimed. 'Since he got caught, he got mad and he destroyed lots of her stuff. She had to call the cops [to get her belongings back] because he was acting so crazy.'

According to a police report obtained by the Daily Mail, cops were called to Ortiz-Magro's home on March 29 around 8:30 p.m. over a 'domestic dispute.'

The report stated that Simmermeyer was the person who called the cops and told them that she and Ortiz-Magro 'were together for three years and living together as a family unit' at the five-bedroom, five-bath home.

A source told the Daily Mail, 'He threw her out [of their home] because she caught him cheating. Since he got caught, he got mad and he destroyed all of her stuff. He went off his rocker. She had to call the cops [to get her belongings back] because he was acting so crazy'

She went on to say that she was 'currently separating from Mr. Ortiz due to infidelity issues' and had asked the cops to assist in escorting her 'to the residence to pick up some of her belongings,' per the report.

'Mr. Ortiz was advised that we were there to keep the peace and that Ms. Simmermeyer wants to get her belongings and leave,' the report continued.

'Both parties agreed that on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Ms. Simmermeyer will return with a moving truck to pick up the rest of her belongings in the morning.'

A domestic brochure was issued, and she was able to pack up some of her belongings into a suitcase and leave 'without issue'.

In response, a representative for Ortiz-Magro told TMZ: 'He was in the process of separating from his long term girlfriend, and it was at his request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful, and because he's been the recipient of falsehoods in the past, and is in a really good place and didn't want there to be any unnecessary drama.'

The Daily Mail also learned that cops were called to Ortiz-Magro's $1 million mansion three days later, on April 1, when Simmermeyer was due back to pick up the rest of her personal items at 9:32 a.m. due to a 'disturbance'. No police report was filed.

Before this, a call was made on October 15, 2025 at 10:32 a.m., also due to a 'disturbance.' No police report was filed, per a call log obtained by the Daily Mail.

Simmermeyer complained of Ortiz-Magro's alleged infidelity, but we're told she believed he allegedly 'cheated on her' multiple times with different women.
