Rihanna's role as a mother was a hot topic earlier this month as she unveiled an incredibly unique tribute to her children in the form of a tattoo.

She unveiled a fresh new inking at the Met Gala - comprising scribbles drawn by her three children featured on the back of her knee.

Celebrity tattoo artist Keith Scott 'Bang Bang' McCurdy documented the session with the A-lister on Instagram.

The 40-year-old New York based artist even showed off the inspiration for the piece as Rihanna's children's scribbles were on a piece of paper with stickers from Nickelodeon animated series Paw Patrol on it.

In December, Rihannas grew emotional over her growing children, as she told Extra: 'The babies are amazing. They're all getting bigger, and I cannot take it. My sons - oh, my God! - their faces are changing. Their necks are getting longer. I love it.'
