‘Annette is a perfectionist and wants to shine on the show, given that it is her first series.’
MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.
Ricky was axedΒ from playing Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb on EastEnders back in 2015, after five years on the soap.Β

A spokesman for the BBC show said at the time: ‘We can confirm Ricky is leaving. We wish him all the best.’
Β BBC bosses decided to suspend Ricky from filming for two months when the incriminating pictures of him first came to light, while the London-born actor apologised for his actions.
RickyΒ won the award for Best Newcomer for the role in 2010 at the Inside Soap Awards and was named Most Popular Newcomer at the 2011 National Television Awards.
The actor made a cameo appearance as Fatboy in a flashback episode surrounding the return of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) last year.Β

MailOnline revealed this week that she is to join the ITV soap in the summer in what is described by sources on the programme as a βlead character’.
Amber, who won Love Island in 2017,Β auditioned for a role on the cobbles 18 months ago but lost the top job to another star.
Now since seeing her popularity boom, ITV bosses created a new role for her and called her back earlier this year to offer her the job which she is said to be βthrilledβ about and has accepted.
A source close to Amber told MailOnline: ‘This is like a dream come true for her, Amber canβt believe it, she is so excited.’
Since winning Love Island with ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, Amber has pursued a professional acting career having trained at the Urdang Academy in her youth.
In 2019 she starred in Dolly Partonβs West End 9 to 5 musical before landing a leading role in the theatrical adaptation of musical Bring It On in 2021.
In October 2023 she played the famous Julia Roberts in the West End musical Pretty Woman.
The show toured the UK and Amber herself received rave reviews.
Since starring on the latest series of Dancing On Ice, she has quickly become the favourite to win.
Before the show started, she had to hit back at claims she has an unfair advantage on Dancing On Ice because of her dancing background.
Earlier this week, she also announced another career move which will see her host a podcast.
She will be the host of a new theatre-focused podcast called Your 5-Minute Call.
βI wanted to create a happy space where we can have good healthy conversations about the highs, lows, the good and the more challenging times when it comes to the industry we all live, breathe & adore,β she told her 1.3 million Instagram followers.
