The Guardian's Lucy Mangan insisted: 'You will be disappointed', as she gave the series one star.
She continued: 'This is because it is very bad and very boring. That will make every viewer down in the mouth.
'Those who tune in for more specific reasons – being a fan of Leicester City's beloved former striker-god Jamie V or wanting to hear Rebekah V's take on the 'Wagatha Christie' libel case she brought against and lost to Coleen Rooney – will be even more let down.'
Meanwhile The Independent's Katie Rosseinsky gave the show just two stars as she described the series as 'deeply dull'.

She wrote: 'A show about Jamie and Rebekah Vardy’s move to northern Italy as the dust settles on the “Wagatha Christie” scandal should, in theory, be television gold. And yet in practice, it’s.......... actually deeply dull.
'The end result here is a strange mixed bag that doesn’t quite work either as silly, frothy entertainment or as a means of burnishing the Vardys’ reputation. Frankly, you wouldn’t really miss much if all the footage had happened to fall into the North Sea.'
The Telegraph's Michael Hogan awarded the ITV series two stars as he described the series as 'uneventful'.
He wrote: 'Vardy became a cult hero thanks to his underdog story, rising from non-league obscurity to Premier League winner. This makes it disappointing that the couple are so tin-eared when it comes to their privileged lifestyle.
'Their Leicester mansion boasts a gym, a bar, stables, its own football pitch, golf simulator and a personalised snooker table, which never gets used. The children get driven around in SUVs and Rebekah scoffs at the idea of her teenage son taking public transport.
'Once her husband becomes Cremonese’s highest-paid player of all time, she turns up her nose at a £13,000-per-month Milan rental property and scurries back to her five-star hotel.
'Odd flashes of insight aside, the couple might be warm and likeable but their uneventful series lacks sufficient soapy intrigue.'
Meanwhile watchers at home shared their frustration on X and claimed that people are now 'uninterested' with the Wagatha Christie scandal that dominated headlines back in 2022 as they begged her to stop talking about it.
'I mean, Coleen Rooney wiped the floor with her in court, so why is ITV even giving Rebekah Vardy air time? #TheVardys', a user wrote on X.
'BORING!!!', 'All the people interested in watching the Vardy documentary'.
It began when Coleen, 40, put a widely shared post on Instagram which accused Rebekah's Instagram account, 44, of leaking 'false stories' about her private life to the press.
Rebekah denied the allegations and sued for libel, but the case fell in her rivals favour, leaving her liable to pay £1.5 million towards Coleen's legal fees.
Continuing to profess her innocence, Rebekah said she has nothing to apologise for and insisted that it is Coleen who is in the wrong.
She said: 'I'm never going to apologise for something I didn't do. Hell will freeze over before I do that. I'm living with the judgment the judge made but, still to this day, I believe she was wrong'.

CCTV footage shows Jamie and Rebekah's £2million Italian home being raided by a gang of 'five' armed robbers in the third episode of their ITV reality show
Viewers at home agreed with critics as they shared their frustration on X and claimed that people are now 'uninterested' with the scandal that dominated headlines in 2022
In April this year, the Daily Mail reported that a source said Rebekah needed husband Jamie to secure one final lucrative contract in football so she could continue her 'ultimate WAG life' and pay the legal bill owed to Coleen Rooney that is hanging over her
Thieves broke into the family's luxury villa on Lake Garda in 2025 and escaped with around £80,000 worth of valuables, including jewellery, cash and a Patek Philippe watch.
At the time, a police source told the Daily Mail that investigators believed the gang had been watching the family and timed the break-in to coincide with Jamie's absence.
Reflecting on the footage in her three-part series, Rebekah said: 'You can clearly see five armed guys with crowbars, balaclavas.
'What happened over this weekend has just been a nightmare and has always been one of my biggest biggest fears.'
Rebekah admitted the burglary had also taken its toll on footballer husband Jamie.
'Jamie's furious. Naturally this has a knock-on effect with Jamie and football,' she said. 'He always gives 100 per cent but Jamie's best performances are when he knows his family is safe and happy, and at the minute I don't feel either of those.'
Viewers then saw how Jamie's football performance was impacted in the aftermath, as he struggled to score and his team Cremonese slid towards the bottom of the Serie A table.
