Sian Welby has revealed she’s expecting a baby girl, as she prepares to welcome her first child with fiancé Jake.
The Capital Breakfast host, 38, who previously kept the gender top secret, revealed the happy news on the radio show on Wednesday morning.
On what Jordan North dubbed as Sian’s ‘baby shower show’, the mother-to-be couldn’t help but reveal the gender to her fellow presenters and listeners.
She said: ‘I’m at that point where I’m 38 weeks – I’ve got 11 days to go.
‘Before I go off on baby leave, I do want to share one thing with everyone because I’ve decided that Capital Breakfast, it doesn’t have listeners, we are a family and I have told my nearest and dearest what me and my partner Jake are having.

‘And I know you are all invested. So I’m going to tell you what I’m having – it’s a girl!’
Co-star Jordan surprised Sian with a baby Burnley football kit which read ‘Baby Welby’ on the back as she nears her due date and prepares to head off on maternity leave.
After her surprising announcement, fellow co-star Chris Stark said: ‘You are going to have the most amazing time, I’ve got a little girl myself.
‘She’s 9 but watching her grow up has been so special for me, she’s intelligent, she’s creative. Having a little girl – just having a baby is going to be amazing.’
Jordan said: ‘I mean thing when I say it, you’re both going to be great parents. You’re going to be the best mum and he’s going to be the best dad. Honestly we’re so happy for you.’
It comes after she revealed she was ‘forced to urinate in the middle of the A3’ after being trapped in horrendous traffic at the weekend.
The TV and radio star, who is 37 weeks pregnant, went to the toilet on the side of the road after sitting in four hour traffic on the motorway with little to no movement.
Speaking on Tuesday’s edition of This Morning, Sian said she rushed towards the bushes for cover but there were ‘brambles everywhere’ and she had to wee in the middle of the road instead.
She said: ‘I had to do a wee in the middle of the road, into the bush and I didn’t dare go in there as it was full of brambles and nettles’.
The person she was travelling with captured the hilarious moment on camera, with Sian darting to try and find some privacy so she could wee.

Presenters Dermot O’Leary, Josie Gibson and Giles Brandreth broke out into laughter at the scenes, with Giles saying: ‘Is this you coming back from your wee? Now I’ve seen it all. Morning television isn’t what it used to be, is it?’
Dermot added: ‘The mystique is definitely gone, but who doesn’t love a pee-pee rustique from time to time?’
This prompted Sian to admit: ‘Do you know what? It was exhilarating.’
Sian kept her followers up-to-date with the horrendous traffic on social media which took almost five hours to clear.
As the traffic started to move, the pregnant star filmed the ‘reported roadworks’ which hadn’t even occurred – with a row of traffic cones causing the chaos that brought the motorway to a standstill.
It comes after Sian admitted she is finding giving up alcohol ‘so much harder than I ever expected’ during her pregnancy.
Last month, Sian jetted off to Tenerife with fiancé Jake for a holiday and while sharing an insight into their trip on Instagram, she uploaded a photo of Jake enjoying a glass of white wine.
She captioned the post: ‘Not drinking on this holiday is so much harder than I ever expected’.

Drinking in pregnancy can lead to long-term harm to the baby, with the more you drink, the greater the risk.
The Captial Breakfast presenter announced she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Jake Beckett back in February, and that she is due to give birth in June.
Sian said at the time: ‘I think I want to share something with the group right now, actually.
‘Seriously, guys: got a bit of an announcement for you. I’m pregnant! I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it from you for this long, but I am, it’s not a joke.’
Sian became engaged to Heart Radio producer Jake during a romantic holiday to Greece in 2023.
