Phoebe Bridgers Announces $1 Phone-Free Show!

has delighted fans as she announced a last-minute phone-free concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on Thursday - with tickets costing as little as $1.

The exciting news was revealed on Monday via Tidal's website, with fans able to pledge between $1-$20 for tickets, which will become available via a lottery.

The indie singer, 31, has not been on tour since 2023, however, it appears she's plotting her big comeback as she prepares to take to the stage at the iconic venue which has a capacity of over 20,000.   

And it seems that Phoebe is keen for her fans to live in the moment at her latest gig as those lucky enough to bag tickets will be asked to lock away their phones and devices in special pouches before the show starts, with their possessions only released after the encore.

Registered fans will be selected at random on Tuesday, with seats in the arena automatically assigned. If people are selected, their cards will then be charged and tickets will be delivered digitally.

The thrilling news has set social media abuzz, with fans rushing to share their thoughts on the Scott Street singer's game-changing move, with one even branding her the 'coolest person alive'. 

Taking to X, they penned: 'She’s really doing no recording in a 20k arena that’s fab like i’m sorry'

'im not convinced im not still asleep and dreamed this' 

'This is incredible more artists need to do this.'

'Phoebe Bridgers is the coolest person alive', 'I need these Phoebe tickets bad oh my godddd.'

'No one is allowed to email me until I get the email telling me if I got phoebe bridgers tickets or not.'

Proceeds for the show will support the Community Justice Exchange's Immigration Bond Freedom Fund, which goes towards bailing out those trapped in ICE immigration detention centres. 

While she deleted the contents of her Instagram two years ago, Phoebe took to her Stories to share a series of snaps of the concert poster dotted around various locations. 

One of the locations was outside Madison Square Garden itself, with a link to register for tickets included. 

The star has slowly been getting fans excited about her comeback, with last month seeing Phoebe perform at two similar phone-free and low-key shows in Texas and New Mexico.  

There, she performed tracks such as Kyoto and I Know the End from her latest album Punisher, while she also took the opportunity to debut four new songs. 

The star will continue to play a series of shows with venue stops including the likes of Mobile, Macon, Savannah, Greenville, Chattanooga, Lexington. 

Meanwhile, it's been a very busy time for Phoebe as she also recently appeared in a trailer for the film Primetime, marking her acting debut.
