'Now if someone did Dubai on the beach I'd say no, because it's just... if I see one more Burj Al Arab engagement, I'll vomit.
'But when we did it, it was early enough it wasn't. I loved it. I thought it was coming, but I didn't know it was that day.
'Getting engaged is great, you get told how great you are, you get a diamond ring. What's not to like? It's a great day out.'
Meanwhile, Amy admitted she rumbled her own proposal when she spotted a diamond dealer calling her now husband, Ed Westwick.
She said: 'I haven't told him this... we were in the car, we did the school pick up. Me and Andreas, I'm in the back with him. And at the front your messages pop up, and not necessarily the whole message. But 'Michael Diamond Dealer' popped up.
'And I was like... (shocked expression). I saw his face and he looked at me in the back mirror and I was just like looking around. So I thought it might be on the cards.'
'But for the next two months I was like living each day wondering when it was going to be, constantly getting my nails done. And then we did it in Switzerland.'
Amy also admitted she gets 'madly' jealous of her husband when he is in a romantic role, she said although she has mellowed with age she is a 'jealous cow'.
She joked: 'The amount of times I have to quickly scroll past TikTok because these bl***y Gossip Girl things comes up. But I do actually love their relationship.
'If I wasn't married to him I wouldn't find it so annoying.'
Amy said that she didn't watch Gossip Girl when it first came out, but she tried to watch it years later when she was pregnant with their son, Oscar.
But she admitted she found it too hard to watch and was 'instantly in a bad mood' whenever he rang because he was away at the time.
