The American actress, 31, who is taking on her most ambitious role yet as a ballerina in Prima, has been leaning into the traditional baby pink associated with the dance and its costume in her recent social media posts.

And Brooklyn's birthday post did not veer from the pattern, as she treated her husband to pink doughnuts and flowers and on the day.

Brooklyn, who was apparently disheartened by his parents' 'performative' birthday tributes, was even fittingly dressed in a pale pink jumper to match the surroundings.

In keeping with the theme, Nicola was also wearing a baby pink top to match, in a cosy picture she shared of herself and Brooklyn cuddled up on the day.

Captioning the post, she wrote: 'Happy birthday baby... I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! you light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you... you’re the most special human and I love being your wife. I love you I love you I love you.'

Nicola appeared to have something special up her sleeve for Brooklyn, with the actress gifting him a box of twenty one iced doughnuts, individually shaped to read 'Happy Birthday Brooklyn.'

The influencer was also confronted by a mountain of gifts, thoughtfully presented in Cloud 23 wrapping paper - a reference to his popular hot sauce brand, ironically named after his father's shirt number at Real Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy.

'Make a wish!' she trills as he tucks into his first cake, adding: 'I love you. I hope your wishes come true.'

As well as ensuring her social media profile is in line with the theme of her latest role, Nicola has also been undergoing physical preparations for the job.

Nicolatakes on the lead role of ballerina Margo and her physical transformation in recent months has raised eyebrows.

A synopsis for the movie teases: 'As events unfold, Margo begins to question if the choices made in life are really worth it in the end, a question so many face as difficult decisions can change your life.'

To fully embody her character, Nicola committed to a strict diet and an intensive training regimen.

She's completed four months of rigorous ballet training for the role, which reportedly resulted in her weight dropping to under 100 pounds.

In addition to her dance preparation, she has been spending time in the gym to ensure she looks the part ahead of filming later this year alongside Oscar award-winner, Faye Dunaway.

While Brooklyn was seemingly happy with Nicola's loud public declaration of her love on his birthday, he was apparently unimpressed with his families' attempts.

Brooklyn is said to have been 'disheartened' that his parents publicly wished him a happy birthday and broke their communication agreement.

The son of David and  blasted the 'performative posts' which included loving messages, according to reports.

An insider told ET that Brooklyn wants to put an end to any attempt from his parents to contact him, including on social media, following their bitter falling out.

Victoria, 51, David, 50, and his brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, all shared heartfelt posts honouring Brooklyn's birthday, but they were apparently unappreciated.

A source told the publication: 'Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday.

'These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.'

Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.'

Brooklyn spent the day with his wife Nicola, 31, who shared a video of her husband blowing out his candles on a box of doughnuts.

The aspiring chef only took to Instagram during the day to thank his wife for her gushing social media post, brushing aside his family's olive branch.

He was given another opportunity to reconnect with his estranged family after parents attempted to build bridges by sharing a series of birthday tributes.

But while he failed to acknowledge their nostalgic throwback photos, birthday messages and repeated use of his affectionate nickname - Buster - he wasted no time in responding to .

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday evening, the American actress shared a photo of herself alongside her husband in a room decorated with celebratory balloons in a pink-themed tribute to her husband.

Despite his bombshell statement that he shared over six weeks ago, the whole Beckham family have publicly reached out to Brooklyn on his birthday.

Hours earlier, Brooklyn's parents David and Victoria Beckham shared birthday tributes, but have yet to receive any public acknowledgement.

Sharing childhood photos of the influencer, and tagging his wife Victoria, David used his childhood nickname for his son, Buster, as he wrote '27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you.'

Minutes later Victoria shared the same photo and wrote 'happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much', before uploading a photo of herself laughing with her son with a string of love hearts.

Brooklyn's brother Romeo posted his own childhood throwback snap with his sibling on Wednesday afternoon, but didn't include a caption.

His youngest brother Cruz put his differences aside with his estranged sibling as he also shared a loving birthday message on his Instagram.

While he was the last family member to reach out, Cruz still managed to tell Brooklyn 'I love you', alongside a childhood picture of them.

Brooklyn failed to publicly reach out to Cruz on his milestone 21st birthday last week.

His grandparents - Ted and Hilary Beckham - also posted pictures in honour of Brooklyn's birthday and included photos of his wife Nicola.

Alongside the snaps, they wrote: 'Happy birthday Brooklyn. Hope you have a fabulous day. With love from Grandad and Hilary.'

The most recent reports suggest Brooklyn is on speaking terms with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary, even though he remains estranged from his parents. He’s reportedly been in regular contact with them.

Now based in the United States with his wife, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations.

Addressing social media followers in January, he claimed his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage and have always prioritised public branding over their family relationships.

'For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,' he wrote.

'The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.'

He added: 'Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.'

Unlike his three younger siblings, Brooklyn did not appear in his mother's recent Netflix docuseries, nor did he show up at the October premiere as he and Nicola had for the London premiere of his father's docuseries in 2023.

Brooklyn and his wife also missed David's 50th birthday celebrations last May, and were notably absent at Windsor Castle for the former footballer's long-awaited investiture on November 4.
