Nicola Coughlan swaps her Bridgerton gowns for an unconvincing disguise as she films Only Murders In The Building for the first time with Selena Gomez at London's Freemasons' Hall

was a far cry from the elegant gowns and dances of her role in , as she began filming her guest stint for Only Murders In The Building in London on Thursday.

Swapping the famous Bath boardwalk for London's iconic Freemasons' Hall, the actress, 39, sported an unlikely disguise to play her character alongside stars , and Martin Short.

Only Murders' new series sees a string of new talent join the cast, including David Tennant, and Jim Broadbent.

They join an already huge list of names set to guest star in this new season, including , Sean Teale, , Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, and Lesley Nicol. 

The scenes appeared to be a recreation of a courtroom trial, with Nicola's character trying to disguise herself by wrapping a scarf around her head.

Jodie took on the role of a barrister, with her character seen in the middle of a furious phone call, before throwing her wig into a bin.

Selena was dressed in a glamorous all-black look as she stood outside the famous landmark during a break from filming.

Freemasons' Hall is the headquarters of the United Grand Lodge of England and the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England.

Season six of Only Murders will be the first to take place outside of the US, with all of its main stars flying to the UK to kick off filming in May.

Sharing news of her casting on Instagram, Nicola called the role 'the nicest summer job I've ever had including that one year I sold sweets from a shed!!' 

In May, Martin also returned to work on the show after his daughter Katherine

She had been found dead inside her Hollywood Hills home after authorities responded to the residence. 

Days later, her Los Angeles County Department of Public Health death certificate confirmed that she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The document additionally noted that Short's daughter had been cremated. 

Last month, the actor publicly addressed Katherine's passing for the first time during an interview with CBS Sunday Mornings. 

He made comparisons between his daughter's mental health battle and late wife Nancy Dolman's own battle with ovarian cancer. She passed away in 2010 from the disease.

'The understanding [is] that mental health and cancer, like my wife's, are both diseases, and sometimes with diseases they are terminal,' the actor said. 

'My daughter fought for a long time with extreme mental health, borderline personality disorder, other things, and did the best she could until she couldn't.'

Only Murders In The Building first began airing in 2021 and has received positive reception from fans as well as critics. 

The show has also garnered a number of award nominations over the years such as an Emmy nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.
