A brand new reality show plans to see how nepo babies cope on a desert island without the trappings of fame.
According to telly insiders, the Channel 4 show, titled Nepo Island, is hoping to sign up Amanda Holden and her model daughter Lexi, 19, as well as Radio 2 star Vernon Kay and his eldest Phoebe, 20 and Spice Girl Mel B and her daughter Phoenix Brown, 25.
A source has explained of the show format: ‘Stars and their kids will be flown over to an island where they will be separated.
‘The parents will be watching how their kids cope and will be setting tasks,’ with the insider adding to The Sun that the show hopes to prove ‘these kids don’t need their famous parents to do well’.
Amanda has previously been outspoken about her kids appearing on TV, insisting that she had banned Lexi from Love Island.
Speaking in 2023 the TV personality, 52, declared she doesn’t want the model ‘anywhere near’ the ITV2 dating show despite admiting that Lexi is ‘obsessed’ with the series.

Speaking on her Heart Radio Breakfast Show, Amanda said: ‘It’s just another way of being famous, isn’t it really? It’s not really about love. It’s just about looking hot and just getting involved.’
Amanda previously explained how she and her husband Chris Hughes insisted Lexi finished her education before embarking on her modelling career.
Last year the proud mother revealed Lexi had passed her A-Levels, landing her a spot at her first choice of university.
Amanda made sure to take the teenager out for a celebratory meal when it emerged that she had been successful in her exams.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Congratulations to our @lexi.hughes__ we couldn’t be prouder. All the grades and 1st choice uni what a bl**dy relief.’
The former Wild At Heart actress – who has been married to Chris Hughes since 2008 and also has Hollie, 12, with him – also shared a photo of an emotional Lexi in front of a cake that read ‘Lexi congratulations’ and ‘OMG I did it!’.
Vernon Kay’s daughter Phoebe, who he shares with Strictly presenter Tess Daly has frequently been spotted at glamorous events with her famous parents in recent months as she makes a name for herself in the industry.
Since turning 18, Phoebe has started creeping into the public eye, making her red carpet debut alongside her father at the John Wick Chapter 4 premiere last March.
Spice Girl Mel B and her daughter Phoenix Brown, 25, are also names in the frame. A source has explained: ‘Stars and their kids will be flown over to an island where they will be separated.

While TV presenter Vernon was on hand to support his daughter, he previously revealed that he and Tess insist his children don’t live off their fame and must form ‘their own careers.’
It’s an important factor for the celebrity duo, who both fell into fame after being scouted as models and then turning to television.
Speaking to MailOnline in 2022, Vernon said he and his wife believe it’s important for their offspring ‘to find themselves’ and not be given their ‘life on a plate’, crediting the pair’s Northern backgrounds for shaping their parenting beliefs.
