The lovebirds announced their engagement in June 2011 after the Marriage Equality Act was passed in 2011 legalizing same same-sex marriage in New York City – revealing that they have been engaged since 2007.
David proposed to Neil at the street corner they had met in 2007, with Neil proposing to him as well in 2008 on Valentine’s Day.
They tied the knot in Italy on September 6, 2014.Â
