It was the end of a very dramatic era for Jules and Lachie Neale over the weekend, as their former family home sold at auction.

Following the couple's much-publicised split, they listed the home, located in the Brisbane suburb of Seven Hills, in January.

Lachie, 32, and Jules, 36, bought the five-bedroom house at auction for $2.43million back in July 2022.

The pair made a tidy profit at Saturday's auction with the property changing hands for an impressive $3.2million – $200,000 over the reserve.

The property was purchased by local couple Nick and Alana, who have three young children.

It's reported the auction attracted between 60 to 70 people with 'fierce' bidding starting at $2.5million.

While Lachie and Jules were not present on Saturday, auctioneer Justin Nickerson told the publication that all parties were 'happy' with the outcome.

Listing agent Sam McLeod added that interest in the property had been strong from the get-go.

'We had great numbers through every open home and strong competition at the finish,' he said.

'Seven Hills is very undervalued compared to surrounding suburbs.'

Boasting three bathrooms, a pool, and an entertainment deck, the newly built home features a spacious open layout, soaring ceilings and louvre windows.

There's also an alfresco dining space and BBQ patio, while the main bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite and private balcony.

Speaking with the Courier Mail in April last year, Lachie said that the property could be the family's 'forever home.'

'We’re a little bit wild and free, I suppose, in that sense. If we feel like moving, we will, but we love this house,' he said.

The sale comes after Jules celebrated her 36th birthday on Friday. The former WAG appeared to be having the time of her life without ex-husband Lachie Neale as she slipped into a stunning yellow dress and celebrated with friends

She appeared to be living her best life following their separation, recently sharing a video montage which showed her moving forward.

One of the most telling parts of the video, which suggests Jules is truly healing, is footage of her ex-husband Lachie.

While there appears little hope for reconciliation, she included him in the video, spending time with their two children

It seemed to be a preview of what life will be like as single parents in the coming years and months.

Jules and Lachie split in November after she posted to Instagram that the Brisbane Lions star had 'betrayed [her] in the most unimaginable way'.

Lachie later admitted their split was a result of his actions, after rumours swirled about an affair with Jules' former friend Tess Crosley.

The footy player did not go into specifics, but admitted the couple had separated.

'I understand the interest in my personal life, but these are personal matters and I won't be answering any questions on that topic today,' he said.

'I can confirm, though with regret, that Jules and I have now separated.

'While I won't go into specifics I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those that are closest to me.

'And for that I am deeply sorry.'
